Legends of The Winter
Text/ Psalm 92:13-15, Proverbs 16:31
1. Introduction
In the meantime, I have talked about the legends of spring-summer-autumn, and today I would like to share my grace while meditating on the Legends of The Winter. So, let's read today's text first.
*Planted in the house of the LORD, they will prosper in the courts of our God. They will bear fruit in old age, full of sap and green, showing the uprightness of the LORD (Psalm 92:13-15). (Proverbs 16:31) *The glory of the young is his strength, and the beauty of the old is his gray hair *The old are wise, and the long-lived have understanding (Job 12:12).

* According to Webster's dictionary, spring = a period of growth or development, summer = a period of maturing powers, fall = a period of maturity or incipient decline ) and winter (winter=a period of inactivity or decay). In the oriental way, it is 起承轉結 (起承轉結).
*Spring-summer-autumn-winter are compared to the four seasons of life. Spring is childhood (1-20 years old), summer is young adulthood (21-40 years old), autumn is adulthood (41-60 years old), and winter is old age (61 years and older). The winter weather is cold, dark, lonely, and lonely with short days and long nights along with 北 寒雪 (North Wind, Cold Snow), making you feel emotionally sad and dead. Therefore, the people of the world lament and mourn over old age, saying, “I had thorns in one hand and a rod in the other, and I was going to hit the road of old age with thorns and a stick that came with gray hair, but gray hair came first before me and came as a shortcut.”
But the Bible says that's not the case. Old age is the crown, wisdom, understanding, riches of essence. It is said that light is like blueness. It is said that winter (old age) is not a period of decline, but a majestic ending that adorns the end of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony of Destiny.
3. Legends of The Winter
first. In keeping with the will of Jesus (Christmas), who came as a bright light in the dark and cold history of winter, neighbors who are economically and spiritually dark around me (family members, friends, prisoners, the sick, homeless, the head of a boy and girl, the elderly living alone, It is the season to give warm rice cakes, clothes, and love to the disabled and foreign workers. Spring-summer-autumn is tolerable with spring greens, summer sea or river fish, and autumn's bountiful fruits. But winter is different. Even the animals living in the mountains risk their lives to come down to the village because they have nothing to eat. How many wild boars are shot to death in winter? How much more would you be human!
The servant waits eagerly for the sunset and the servant earnestly desires the wages (Job 7:1-2). Those who are deceived by love and deceived by money, who live in the cold and dark, must never forget that they long for the least amount of love, no matter how little material things. Even if you forgot about it in other seasons, you should not forget only this winter.
second. Winter is not the season of dongjungdong (moving, but maintaining inner stillness) but the season of 靜jungdong (preparing the energy to move in the midst of stillness).
We usually call one day from morning to evening and the four seasons to be spring-summer-autumn-winter, but biblically speaking, one day is from evening to morning, and the four seasons are winter-spring-summer-autumn. Because in the beginning the earth was void and empty, and darkness was above the depths, and the Spirit of God was on the waters (Genesis 1:1-2). This is because evening comes first, morning comes last, cold and darkness come first, and sunlight comes last.
The first filial piety of 乾爲天 (Geonwicheon) is the first filial piety of the 64 sects of the great Oriental philosophy of life, 周易, the great philosophical book of life in the East. The latent dragon does not act rashly, only develops strength and waits for the right time. The dragon is a dragon, but the time has not yet come and it is lying quietly in the water). It is saying that we are starting from the atmosphere of winter.
third. Winter is a season when each person meditates deeply on his own death. Because it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment (Hebrews 9:27). It is 有生必有人 (there is life, there must also be death).
Personally, I fear more than the Day of the Great Judgment is the words of Jesus, when he said, “There is one who will judge those who reject me and do not listen to my words, and my words will judge him on the last day” (John 12:48). . Because he said that it is “myself” who judges, not anyone else. Winter is the season of preparing for resurrection from the dead. This winter God asks Adam, where are you?
