Lessons from 6.25 / Matthew 25:1-13
At dawn on December 12, 1941, 60 years ago, fighters and fighter-bombers launched from four Japanese aircraft carriers unexpectedly attacked Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and the Pacific War was fiercely fought for four years. Eleven years later, at dawn on June 25, 1950, the communist forces from the north also unexpectedly invaded the South from the 38th parallel. As a result, the Korean turmoil that caused a lot of muddy sanctuary lasted for about three years. The Pacific War and the Korean War are wars in common, although the timing and location of their outbreaks are different. As we celebrate the 51st anniversary of 6.25 today, we would like to think about what lessons 6.25 will teach us. Lessons from the two wars mentioned above
(1) The attack was initiated when the tension was relaxed.
(2) It is a use of negligence.
Even if they got information that there might be an unexpected attack, they said "I hope" and neglected or neglected to prepare for it. In any war, the aggressor seeks an advantage. Hopefully, with neglected preparation, the mind is most likely to become defenseless, and this has been the case with almost all soldiers. That time was a Sunday morning, and that was the time of the attack. In a word, it was devastating. In this world we live in, no one can predict when and how happiness and unhappiness, success and failure will come. However, one thing is certain: if we are not prepared in our minds, we will not be able to overcome any difficulties we face. Therefore, we should be awake and prepare for faith.
⑶, Therefore, you must always live a prepared life.
Among the parables of Jesus, the parable of the ten virgins is the story of five wise virgins welcoming the bridegroom and five foolish virgins who were not ready to welcome the bridegroom. Those who could not receive the bridegroom who had been waiting for him because the lamp was not ready were called “foolish virgins.” Why did you call them stupid? It's because they didn't have the oil they should have prepared. So, at the end of this parable, it warns us to be “always awake”. No matter what happens, don't panic and be prepared to deal with it.
In particular, the lessons we give to our members are very great. If you relax even for a moment, you will soon become a servant of the devil, and there will come a time when regrets for the rest of your life will be of no use because of complacency. Therefore, we must always be alert and ready.
