Title: Lessons from Eutychus/Acts 20:7-12
Content Eutychus' Lesson/Acts 20:7-12
It is time for Paul to give a farewell sermon in Troas for his third missionary journey. An incident occurred where a young man named Eutychus fell from a tower on the third floor and died in front of Paul, who wanted to teach the truth even a word, thinking that he would never see the saints again tomorrow. The sermon was interrupted, and Paul's prayer to God brought his life to life. I want you to look back on our lives by looking at a young man named Eutychus.
Eutychus was sitting by the window on the third floor, so an accident had no choice but to happen. He interfered with listening to others. Saints should never go to dangerous places. Please take a look at your present self. Have you ever been sitting in a dangerous position? Aren't we sitting in the seat of spectators, bystanders, complainers, and fighters, not in the seat of hymn and loyalty? You need to get out of these places. Otherwise, like Eutychus, you are in danger. I hope that all of us will get out of the dangerous place and stand in a place of blessing and safety.
And Eutychus fell into a deep sleep. There are three things that get in the way when we hear the Word. Children's cries, thoughts, and drowsiness. Drowsiness is mostly a habit. Some people have a habit of drowsing when they start preaching. Gentlemen, the sleeping faith puts us to the test. Loyalty sleeps, service sleeps, and prayer sleeps. Therefore, they cannot live like saints, but they make them slaves to Satan. If Eutychus had known the heart of the apostle Paul even a little, he would not have fallen asleep. I hope that you will wake up from your sleeping faith, move vigorously and become loyal.
Finally, Eutychus is the troublemaker. He disturbed the saints who listened intently to the Word. The preacher stopped running. It made people sad and scared. Among the saints, there is always someone who causes problems. The problem is that most of the troublemakers make their own sympathizers. I am not alone, I am gathering other complainers. So you make other people complain like yourself.
On the other hand, there is always someone who solves the problem. Such people pray, depend on Jesus, and endure no matter what tribulation or difficulty comes. May you abide in the faith and always be the servants of the Lord who solve problems.
