▒▒▒ Joshua 4:19-24
If a documentary about the Israeli occupation of the land of Canaan is made into a documentary, there will be many important details, but the most important and basic event will be at Gilgal in Joshua chapters 4 and 5. Some of you may be unfamiliar with the place called Gilgal, but as you can see from Judges 2:1, “The angel of the Lord came down from there” and that Samuel the Prophet held a service in Gilgal, Gilgal is God. This is where the history of the presence of Therefore, today, ahead of the occupation of the land of Canaan, I would like to share my grace with you through these three events in Gilgal.
The third event was to keep the Passover in Gilgal. The Passover is a festival to commemorate the history of the Exodus. After bringing down 10 plagues on Egypt, God saves Israel. He struck the firstborn in Egypt with the 10th plague, and the only way to survive that plague is to sacrifice a lamb and rub the blood on the threshold to pass the plague. The blood of the Lamb has the power to save the first-born life. God made Israel remember that while keeping this Passover, ‘the power of the blood saves people.’
Through the three events in Gilgal, I pray that you will also remember the grace of the Lord and go forward to the blessings the Lord allows by relying on the power of the blood to wash away sins.
