Title (Ⅱ) Lessons from Jesus’ Crucifixion (Matthew 16:24~25)
Contents
① “Cross” is a term that symbolizes extreme suffering. ② In the world of sin, the life of a believer who lives by faith is a life through the tunnel of suffering on the cross. ③ The cross refers to suffering in which one's own and possessions are used up and disappear because of living by faith (passed only by the Word and inspiration) for one's own salvation and for the salvation of others, or disappears due to persecution, disappears due to persecution, or is taken away.
“It means to carry the cross with your wife”
① In the cross that Jesus carried, God the Father always had the perfect self-denial. ●“...But not my will, but your will (Matt. 26:39) ●“...He was in the original form of God, but he did not consider equality with God to be robbery...” (Phil 2) :5-11) Jesus said ② “If any man would come after me, he must deny himself...”. ③ A believer is to deny himself by breaking his self-centeredness, self-doubt, self-interest, and self-experience only with respect to Jesus, the Word, inspiration, faith and conscience, and the teachings of servants and people that the Lord holds and uses. ④ If you deny yourself anywhere, you will be in big trouble. ⑤ In the cross that Jesus carried, there was always self-denial, and in his denial, there was God's approval, but in the cross the thief on the left had, there was self-recognition and the denial of God in his self-acknowledgment. ⑥ Pope, General Assembly President.... A cross that does not have self-denial to God even though it has been revered by the people of the world has the same end as a cross carried by a robber, and God is not responsible for it.
“It is the word of carrying the cross for self-salvation.”
① “Take up your cross...” means to endure suffering for your own salvation. ② Because Jesus is a perfect man without sin, he does not need to be crucified for his own salvation, but he is qualified as a substitute for the salvation of all people who can fully satisfy the requirements of God's supreme power and the intellect. He suffered countless intangible and tangible crucifixion from the city god until he was destined to “It is finished”. ③ However, we, who inherited the sinful nature of the first Adam, must bear the cross to achieve our own sanctification and salvation. (Philippians 2:12) ④ First, we ourselves become the salt of the world and the light of the world to save our neighbors, both spiritually and physically. You will have to suffer to acquire all your skills. ⑤ To take up the cross to save our neighbor without first saving ourselves is foolishness in which we save our neighbors and abandon ourselves. ⑥ Therefore, Paul said, “I do not run as if I was running out of direction, and I do not fight as if I was striking the air, but I beat my body to submission, lest after I preach to others, I myself will be rejected” (1 Corinthians 9). :26~27) did.
“It is the message of carrying the cross for the salvation of our neighbors.”
①“…follow me” means to bear the cross for the salvation of our neighbors like Jesus. ② In order to complete the salvation of all people, Jesus endured “the sufferings of the saints”, “the sufferings of the agency,” and “the sufferings of the great friend” and died on the cross. ③ A believer's denial of himself and suffering for his own salvation is half of faith, and when he becomes the sacrifice of the cross to save his neighbor with his own saved power, it becomes complete faith. ④ Saints must always strive to achieve their own salvation, and must go one step further and have the fruit of actively striving for the salvation of their neighbors. ⑤ Isn't salt made not to be contained in a jar, but to be dissolved and used for what is needed? ⑥ The reason why the goat believers on the left were abandoned was not because they were abandoned because of murder, adultery, or theft, but because they did not feed the hungry, water the thirsty, and did not bear the cross to save their neighbors (Matt. 25:31-46).
Conclusion: ① In all realities, always deny yourself completely to the Lord, and take up the cross that follows the Lord after you take up your cross. ② Resurrection after death on the cross and glory after suffering on the cross.
