Lessons from Mary's praise (Luke 1:46-55)
Mary praises and confesses the grace of God as a woman who has received the grace of God. I sing thanks to the grace of God the Savior, who looked back on her lowliness and raised her as a blessed woman for all ages. Confess the holiness and mercy of God who has done the wonderful work of sending a savior to this world through him, and sing a song of thanksgiving. We confess that the power of the Messiah to come and the grace of helping the chosen people are fulfilled by remembering all the promises made to Abraham and his descendants. The work of the Messiah who will come into this world scatters the proud in their hearts and strikes the powerful. And it testifies that He exalts the lowly, fills the hungry with good things, and sends the rich empty-handed. Why did Mary praise? What does his praise mean? What are the conditions for a lowly woman to receive God's grace? What is the Lord God doing? We want to receive the grace of the Messiah through Mary.
1. Seeing the Lowly
Mary is a virgin who lived after realizing that she was only a lowly woman. We give thanks and praise to God for choosing such a woman and giving him the special mission of the Messiah covenant. The reason is that he looked back on him and called him a blessed man. It is because God has done great and wonderful things for him. This is because the Holy Spirit of God came upon him and he received the grace to conceive the Son of God through exceedingly great power. And because God is most holy and shows mercy. People of faith think of the grace that God has bestowed upon them and give thanks and praise. This is how Mary praises God with joy and emotion because of God's grace. The Bible is God's faithful promise. God's covenant to those who believe does not discriminate against anyone. The problem depends on whether we realize this grace of God and accept it by faith.
2. What the Savior Does
Mary praises God the Savior for what He is doing. God is rich in mercy and mercy. His work is just, holy, and saving work. That is why God gives infinite grace to the lowly, poor, and humble, but scatters those who are proud of their hearts. The power of the world oppresses the weak and brings down those who oppress. And he is the one who does not care for the rich and the poor, ignores the poor, makes those who despise the poor poor and sends them away empty-handed. Because God works with justice, all of his deeds are righteous and holy. It is to praise God for His attributes and works. The work of Jesus Christ fulfilled the Old Testament prophecy of the Messiah who would suffer (Isaiah 53:4-6, Matthew 8:16-17). It was also prophesied that Jesus' work would carry out the work of the anointed Messiah (Isaiah 61:1-3). So let us praise the Lord for doing great works of salvation for us.
3. Fulfilling the Covenant
The praise of Maraah praises God who remembers the covenant with his chosen people and finally fulfills it. God helped and had mercy on Israel. And we praise you for remembering the covenant you made with their ancestors and granting eternal grace and blessings to their descendants and generations (Revelation 20:6). In particular, the covenant with Abraham, the father of faith, is an eternal covenant, so it testifies that we will receive it through faith (Psalm 105:8-10, Gal 3:9, 29). God sent Jesus into the world to save the world through Jesus Christ and to make him the eternal child of God through faith in him. Whenever we see the work of God who is able to do great things, our hearts should rejoice in God and give glory and praise to Him. God remembers his covenant and will surely fulfill it in due time. Because God is faithful, those who believe and obey His promises will surely fulfill His covenant and receive glory and praise. Therefore, we should give praise and glory to God by living a life that believes and obeys God's faithful promises.
