Title: Lessons from Parents (Proverbs 01:11-19)
Content "My son," the teacher of wisdom speaks with warm love and zeal like a father. Listen to your father's admonition, and do not depart from your mother's law.
God's instruction, like parental instruction, speaks of coming to God's people with authority or love. Those who read all the words written in this book should receive them with a spirit of parental instruction and obedience. There are many references in the New Testament that the servants with the spiritual power to preach the word of God treated God's people as children. Paul also referred to Timothy and Titus as “sons” (1 Timothy 1:2, 2 Timothy 1:2, Titus 1:4).
"Listen...don't leave". emphasizing obedience. Those who do not obey the truth perish. 2 Corinthians 13:8. Parents love their children and want their children to prosper.
They must be brought up in the discipline and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). Children should acknowledge and respect the authority of their parents established by God and obey them in the Lord (Ephesians 6:1,2). We must listen to and follow the Word of God that is spoken through our parents. Those who do this will have a beautiful crown on their head and a gold chain around their neck. It means glory and exaltation.
When King Bethshazzar was holding a great feast, a finger appeared on the wall and wrote. It is written that if the king reads this letter and shows me its interpretation, he will clothe him in purple and put a gold chain around his neck, and make him the third ruler of the kingdom. Daniel 5:1-2 The word of God glorifies those who keep it. Daniel's exaltation (2:46; 6:25-27) and Joseph's exaltation (Gen. 39:8-10; 41:39-43) were also due to this.
10-"Evil" is a noun referring to atrocious people who are accustomed to crime.
They are evasive in their evil deeds, so they are very brazen and bold in claiming injustice. You must stay away from such people. As in Acts 8:18-23, 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, 1 John 1:10-11, we must limit our fellowship.
How am I raising my children as a parent?
As a child, how much do I respect my parents and obey them in the Lord?
Second, a warning against deception, vv. 10-19
We warn you never to fall for the tricks of the wicked. They say sweetly. They say there is an easy and quick way to get a lot of riches. but what is the way
Even today, we do not know how many people are enjoying their wealth by directly or indirectly stalking and robbing their neighbors. But Christians must not imitate this evil generation or be swept away with it by evil currents. Because it's so easy to be influenced by them.
18,19 - You may enjoy the riches of the world for a while, but you will save the most precious life.
that will be lost.
What Are My Close Neighbors and Friends? I visited the prison yesterday. We talked about providing environmental causes. When parents give money and they fight, play, and play crazy, the son thirsts for his mother's love and eventually falls into the temptations of the world and ends up on the wrong path. They all say, "I knew it wouldn't be like my son."
11-The man who murdered from the beginning, the devil, tempted innocent Adam and Eve to sin
12- Those who work mainly by swallowing people are the devil. Revelation 9:1, 11
13 - The promise of false happiness to man is a trick of the devil.
14 - Casting lots is a word that entices people to share their fate. It means to venture into evil deeds as joint assistance.
15-16 - Do not walk together on the road. Don't take part in their criminal activities. "His feet run to evil" is not a sin committed out of necessity, but running to do evil. It rejoices in evil and acts without reproach. Such people are hardened by sin and have fallen so much that they say that they are like sin itself. Avoiding is also a way to win. Joseph - Genesis 39:10, Paul told Timothy to avoid covetousness - 1 Timothy 6:11, Avoid youthful lust - 2 Timothy 2:2
2. 1 Corinthians 10:13-At the time of temptation, He gives a way of escape.
17-The wicked are dark with material things, and they steal other people's things without knowing that they are self-destructive.
18-19 - When a man is extremely evil and harms others, it is certain that he himself will be punished by God.
Psalm 9:16 - He has made himself known from the LORD, and has done judgment; the wicked are entangled in the works of their hands (Haman-Mordecai 7:9; King Ahab and Jezebeth-Naboth's vineyard 1 Kings 21:4) -24)
