“As we begin to look at Calvary from God's perspective, the cross calls us with the power to transform our entire being,” he said. Let us experience the cross.” Henry T. Blackkaby, in “Living the Cross,” said:
The original Greek word translated cross in Mark 15:32 is [σταυρου stauro-pillar of punishment]. By the way, the original meaning of this word is ‘pillar’ or ‘pillar’ that can be used as a fence or to hang things. The Bible uses one more word for the brother who killed Jesus. That word is [ξυλον kechelon]. Acts 5:30 and 10:39. In the Korean version of the Korean version, the translation of that part is expressed as [tree]. The meaning of the word [ξυλον ㅋ Chilon] has the meaning of ‘firewood’, ‘wood stick’, and ‘stick’. It is a word related to a straight column, not a shape that is intentionally made into a T-shape.
Execution Equipment - Tools used when a person died (pistol, guillotine knife, electric chair, holster)
something like kami)
The Roman execution apparatus, whether in the form of a cross or just a column, inflicts more terrible suffering than today's apparatus. This is because the body has to feel the pain of tearing the body with the weight of the person being put on the nailed part until the person dies due to a heart rupture when all the blood is drained. It would have been terribly painful if his whole body had been beaten with whips, and he even wore a crown of thorns.
Seven words of Jesus hanging on the cross at Golgotha
It refers to the seven words spoken by Jesus on the cross at the crucifixion at Golgotha outside the northern wall of Jerusalem on Friday afternoon, April 00, AD 33. This is what Jesus said when he died. The seven final words traditionally scattered in the four Gospels are: However, there is no objective evidence that Jesus actually spoke in this order.
① “Father, forgive those people. In fact, they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34). This can be interpreted as the practice of Jesus’ daily teaching to love his enemies at the last moment of his life. It means that Jesus is a being in which words and deeds coincide.
② “I tell you the truth, you will be with me today in paradise” (Luke 23:43). It is a conversation between Jesus and a prisoner who was crucified together, and it is interpreted as a word expressing the Christian eschatology and the afterlife. It means that the place where you will die and be with Jesus is paradise.
③ “Madam, look, this is your son.” “Look. thy mother” (John 19:26-27). These are the words Jesus spoke to his mother Mary and the disciple (John), but it is controversial whether Mary and the disciple were actually there. Here, the wife refers to the people of Israel and the disciple refers to the church of Christ. Knowing that the time of salvation had come, he formed a relationship with the people of Israel and the Christian Church. At the turning point in the history of salvation, it means that the people of Israel cherish the church of Christ as a son, and that the church should also serve the people of Israel like a mother.
④ “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Mark 15:34) It is a word that expresses the feeling of loneliness and despair at the end of life. solve
⑤ “thirst” (John 19:28). It can be interpreted as trying to accomplish Jesus' own work.
⑥ “It is finished” or “It is finished” (John 19:30). It is interpreted to mean that the work that God was trying to accomplish through Jesus, that is, the work of opening the way of eternal life to believers, has been completed.
⑦ “Father, into your hands I commit my soul” (Luke 23:46). This was originally the evening prayer offered by the Jews. When Jesus said this prayer at the moment when he was out of breath, it meant that he had accepted his death.
The virtual seven words were also made into music, among which F. J. Haydn's oratorio <Die sieben letzten Worte unseres Erlosers Kreuz> is famous.
Think of three of the virtual seven words.
First, on the cross, Jesus said, “It is finished” for our sins. In John 19:30, the meaning of the word “τετελεσται tetelestai” means that Jesus paid the price for all our sins. For us, it can be thought of as meaning “I have finished preparing for the midterm exam.”
Second, Luke 23:42-43 says that when the sinner who is at the cross of Jesus wants to enter the “kingdom of God,” Jesus will “be with him in paradise.”
Third, “Father, into your hands I commit my soul” (Luke 23:46). This was originally the evening prayer offered by the Jews. When Jesus said this prayer at the moment when he was out of breath, he accepted his deathbed, but it means that he accepted his calling.
Today, there are too many things and convenience for us to be an illustration of the cross. Who is on the cross, and who wants to be an illustration? we have to think
Recognize North Korea's satellite launch, world interest, and attitudes of South Korea, the United States, Japan, China, and Russia. The firing range of North Korea's missiles has been extended from 300 km to 6,000 km, and it has become a weapons of mass destruction state capable of installing about 50 such missiles. Where can we find the Christian faith that considers the unity of the nation and nation? We live in the face of extreme actions that seek to balance the global village through Muslim suicide bombing or schizophrenic beliefs. If the prayer of faith for the kingdom of God is the suffering of the cross, we must prepare for the first day of resurrection to establish the kingdom of God.
(Mark 15:37 The Son of God who died for many in the world)
The subject of this text is the death of Jesus, the Son of Man, on the cross. We learn from the Gospel of Mark his passion that Jesus, the Son of Man, died on the cross to give life into the humanity of mankind. Jesus Christ clearly revealed the nature of serving God, the humility of self-emptying, and the essence of God's love.
Mark 14:1-25 Preparation of the Cross:
1. Establishment of the Sacraments and Confucianism,
2. The conspiracy of Judah with the powers of the high priests;
3. In the house of Simon the leper in Bethany, a woman breaks an alabaster jar of pure nard and anoints Jesus' head for cleansing.
14:26-52 Jesus’ Prayer and Peter’s Misunderstanding on the Mount of Olives
14:53-72 Peter's refusal and Jesus' arrest by the council
15: 1-20 Romans' temptations
1. The ridicule by the soldiers and the investigation of the governor Pilate
2. Jesus comments: 1). Truth and the Kingdom of God in the Council
2). Statement of the King of Judea
Mark 15:21-47 The cross where Jesus was killed and buried
In the text, Mark explains the theme of the cross related to the death of Jesus in several ways. Mark shows the theological significance of the crucifixion in five ways.
First, the death of Jesus on the cross is a revelation. Continuing the observation report discusses death. And introduce the revelators who are discussing.
Second, Jesus’ death on the cross is the ‘washing away of sins’. Jesus became a ransom for the “washing away of sins” serving many (Mark 10:45).
Third, the death of Jesus on the cross is devotion. In the sacraments, ‘Word’ and ‘Spirit’ are referred to as ‘bread’ and ‘wine’, ‘flesh’ and ‘blood’ (Mark 14:24). Jesus' death was not an act of revenge against those who disobeyed, but a sacrificial commitment in God for the salvation of mankind.
Fourth, Jesus' death on the cross is a victory. Through the gospel we see Jesus' struggle in God against all satanic forces. It finds victory in the collision of the light of God's life with the resurrection facing the dark corner of death on the cross, the hopeless corner of Satan.
Fifth, the meaning of Jesus' death on the cross is freedom for mankind. Jesus acts on a human nature that is free from the state of the oppressed curse. We see the amulet in the gospel we met: the result of Jesus' healing from being possessed by demons. Freedom analyzes, deconstructs and reconstructs all forms of the world oppressed by Satan and all human traditions unnaturally stereotyped. Man was created to enjoy freedom in God.
According to the Gospel of Mark, the death of Jesus Christ on the cross is the work of God the Creator. We renew our faith through the work of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, on the cross to obey the will of God. God has called us to be free from the forces that oppress us by evil. He has called us to live free from the injustices of the world.
(( Isaiah 53:12 Mission of the Caller))
Those who are called can endure suffering because they know the promises of God. God's promise and God's man's faith are inseparable. As its symbol, we must think of the cross that forms the Christian. The lesson of the cross is the leadership of the kingdom of God that Christ possesses, the emptiness of Christ's self-emptying into human form, the change in human life and the resurrection of creation, believing in the pre-existence of the soul.
It should be known that the called person interprets through the confession of the ‘pre-existence of the soul’ of Christ through the revelation of the death of the cross.
Those who are called must live as “debtors” through the atonement grace of the cross. It consists in humbly obeying God's will and following God's will.
Those who are called meet forgiveness through the atonement of the washing of sins through the death of the cross. Christ's forgiveness represents the order of reconciliation.
Those who are called participate in God's creative work of saving lives through the sacrifice of death on the cross.
Those who are called enjoy freedom through death on the cross. Learning the norms of Christ's life through freedom. He glorifies God, who has given the commandment of love. The knowledge of Christ's standard of living is the life principle of the vocation that is shown to all people in heaven, on earth, and in hell.
Pray for this to change.
1. Let's meet the new humanity transformed through the cross of Christ.
2. Let us renew our faith through the death of the cross and the resurrection of Christ.
3. Become a believer who enjoys freedom from conflict and oppression.
4. Let's analyze the crisis of the nation and nation and become a witness of martyrdom to spread the gospel.
5. Let's become the victors of faith in the grace of entering the kingdom of God.
I bless you in the name of Jesus to live in a new heaven and a new earth.
