Date : 2010. 3. 14 ? Category : Sunday day sermons ? Text: Deuteronomy 8:1 - 10
Today is the last sermon entitled Lessons on the Wilderness Road. In the meantime, through the text ?? He wanted to know whether he was obedient, ?? It is to help you know that you live only by the word of God, ?? In order not to sleep (pride), we looked at the teachings of the wilderness road. Finally, through the words of today's text verses 7-10 ?? I earnestly pray that it will be a blessed time to reflect on God's great love that made us walk in the wilderness in order to acknowledge God's sovereignty.
Through the history and revelations of Israel, we are well aware that God rules the world, determines the fate of nations, controls the direction of empires, determines the limits of dynasties, and defines and rules the limits of evildoers.
Just as God conceived and created the world, so humans, who are extensions of God's essence, think and act.
acknowledging the lordship of Christ.
In general, in acknowledging Christ as our Lord, we have limited ourselves to the use of personal time and means, and trust in our future plans. But the Bible clearly shows that the Lordship of Jesus Christ is the same in the church, society, and even the universe as a whole. It is clearly wrong to limit this Jesus Christ to the realm of personal faith.
John 1:3 “All things were made through him. None of the things that were created were made without Him.
Colossians 1:20 “God has ordained that all things, whether on earth or in heaven, can come to God through Christ alone. The blood of Christ shed on the cross opened the way for peace.”
Acts 2:36 “Therefore, there is something that all the people of Israel must know. The fact is that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”
When we say, 'Jesus is my Master.' Confessing that is not confessing by acknowledging any one part, but acknowledging and confessing Jesus, who has been the ruler of all things in the universe from creation to the present and forever in the future. If you are a true Christian, you will enjoy true happiness, joy, and peace when you acknowledge God as God.
You must acknowledge that you are the master of all things.
David sings that God is a great King with power and glory and victory and majesty. They confess that all the wealth and honor that Israel has come from God, not the result of their own efforts. David repeatedly praises that the reason that the people were able to provide materials for the building of the temple in abundance was because God, the Lord of all things, gave it first. The belief that all things, including the Kingdom, belonged to Jehovah and came from the hand of God, ultimately led to joyful dreams and total joy.
So, since he received it from God, the owner, he was grateful and humbled for being able to give it that way. It is not easy for David to confess that everything belongs to the Lord and that God is the true master. David is making this confession as the king of a nation. Our God is the Creator God. So, creatively, all things belong to God.
1 Chronicles 29:11 “Great is the LORD, and great is the power; glory and victory and majesty are in your hand. Everything in heaven and on earth is yours, and the kingdom is yours. O Jehovah, you are over all things.”
Psalm 74:16 “The day is yours, and the night is yours. You also made the sun and the moon.”
Psalm 89:11 “The heavens and the earth are yours. You made the world and everything in it.”
1 Corinthians 10:26 “For the earth and all that is in it belongs to the Lord.”
Let us always remember that God is the owner of all things. We ourselves and everything we have belongs to the Lord.
Our God is sovereign over all. God is the head of all things and has sovereignty over all things. Just as the members are governed and moved by the head, so it is to confess that all things are governed by the Sovereign God. Explaining this sovereignty of God in more detail
1 Chronicles 29:12 “Wealth and honor come from you, and you rule over everything. You have the power and the ability to make anyone great and strong.”
Even at this time, God is in control and provides for everything in this world. He is a God who has the power to rule over all things in his own will.
All wealth, honor, success and happiness are in the hands of God, the Sovereign of all!!
God is the Lord of all things. Everything belongs to God. Wealth and glory and honor also come from God, and strength and power are in His hands. Therefore, we must always recognize that everything we receive, possess, and enjoy is given to us by God, who is the Lord of the universe, sovereign and sovereign, and we must always realize that we are enjoying it. We must be able to confess that we cannot have or enjoy anything unless God gives it to us. I earnestly pray in the name of Jesus Christ that you and I, who are thankful for being able to receive and enjoy it, become you.
In addition, we must always remember that the Lord is God, and put our hope in Him who is the head and Lord of all things. Everything comes from the Lord's hand, and stewardship is key to using it as He tells you to use it. So, the Bible? Regardless of the New Testament, our devotion requires devotion as a response to God's first giving, and does not say that if we dedicate ourselves, God will bless us.
Deuteronomy 15:7 “If there is a poor man in any village in the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be harsh with your poor brother or be stingy!”
8 “Lend him all that he needs, without sparing him!”
9 “Be careful not to have bad thoughts! Do not be stingy with your poor brother, thinking that the seventh year of debt relief is near! If you do nothing to him and he complains to you and calls out to the Lord, the Lord will count you as sinners!”
10 “Give generously to the poor! Don't be stingy! Then the Lord your God will bless you in all that you do and in all that you do with your hands!”
11 “There will always be poor people on this earth! Therefore I command you! Give generously to the poor and needy in your land!”
2 Corinthians 9:7 “Let each one give what he has decided in his heart, and do not give it unwillingly or under compulsion! God loves a willing giver.”
8 “God is able to bestow all grace upon you, so that you may always have what you need for all work, and abound in every good work.”
We live in this age when we are busy learning how to live well and live well from all the wisdom and rich experiences of the world. In times like these, let's live our whole lives confessing that we can always enjoy true satisfaction only in God's grace. Our toil, effort, and human help do not determine our wealth, health, and happiness.
Also, it is not something that can be achieved if you want to achieve it in your own generation with a heart and a desire. Regardless of your will, you are already prepared and chosen that way, you can achieve many things. There are people who think that they are strong and that they are doing well because they are good, so they are fearless.
Just as different shapes, different sounds, and countless instruments are drawn by the hand of the conductor to form a beautiful harmony, so everything is created, broken, and remade only by the hand of the Sovereign. I have a role that only I have been given. It's something I can't figure out, but I'm taking on a role that's been given to me by someone for something.
Dear saints,
Whether you have little or a lot of faith, little or much knowledge, you must make it possible to come down from heaven, not to go up against the world.
Where the world begins, great obstacles and many difficulties lurk. Of course, many obstacles and difficulties are also the Word of God. Without the will of God, nothing appears or arises in this world. Everything is in the Word of God.
Therefore, only Jesus Christ is the true refuge and refuge.
I pray that God will submit to His sovereignty and providence to accomplish His purposes.
Dear members of the White Stone Church! Do not dwell on the abolition of the law, the arguments or theories of the legalists, or modern theology, but according to the will of God who sent us in this age. I sincerely pray in the name of Jesus Christ that my life will be a blessing to you and me who acknowledge God's sovereignty and open our lips to praise the living God, knowing right away that you and each of you are given.
