And running errands (shoes, cleaning), not fighting, getting up early.. They are all good children. Have you ever had a friend who complained that Mom and Dad didn't take you to a fun place and didn't even give you a gift, so they complained to Mom and Dad until Mother's Day?
▶ Introduction 2 - A better gift story
What did our children receive as gifts on Children's Day or birthdays? At church in April, you cut birthday cakes and gave gifts, didn't you? Ok. We love gifts.
There are good gifts and bad gifts. Are expensive and pretty things a good gift? It is not. What makes a really good gift... depends on who gave it to you. I got a birthday present. If I was given the same Teletubbies as a gift, it would be better if my girlfriend gave it to me. I just wish it was given to me by a boyfriend like that. Ok. A gift gets better depending on who gave it to you.
▶ The first and best gift in the world
This is the first gift that everyone in the world receives. And here is the most precious gift. And it is a gift from God. You know what? That's my mom and dad. Do you have a child who can swap mom and dad for other things? Raise your hand. Yes, Mom and Dad are the most precious people in the world. No matter how good you give to anyone, you can't change it.
▶ What is the best reason?
① It's because we can't eat without Mom and Dad.
- Then, if you can cook and eat later when you grow up, you will not have to pay filial piety to Mom and Dad.
② Because Mom and Dad love me.
- Then, when Mom and Dad don't seem to love me, I don't have to be filial... Especially if I don't study and hit me for not listening, then I don't have to be filial. (Elementary school - The children in the house whose father drinks and comes in every day and beats the house and beats the children do not have to be filial to the father.)
▶ Reason of the Bible - Because it is the most precious gift God has given.
It is not. The reason we need to love Mom and Dad and be filial to them is in the Bible.
The reason is that it is God who gave Mom and Dad. We haven't decided on mom and dad. (Mom and Dad probably didn't know exactly who I was.) Each of us met Mom and Dad because God allowed us to meet like that. Children who love God love their mothers and fathers whom God has allowed them to meet. Because I know that Mom and Dad are the most precious gifts God has given me.
Conversely, anyone who says they love God without loving Mom and Dad is lying. How can we love God, our invisible Father, without loving our God-given mother and father?
▶ God's command
Loving your parents is a command from God.
“Honor your father and mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you” (Deuteronomy 5:16).
The orders are to be obeyed. On the battlefield, the general said, 'Attack, forward!' But the soldiers next to me said this. "Sir, yes. We must attack now to win the war. But ... I'll do it later." If you do that, you will be punished. Because you broke the order. When God said, "Be filial to your parents," and you say, "Yes, you should be filial to the parents God has given you. But I will do it when I grow up."
▶ You can do it now.
No matter how young our children are, they can be filial to their mothers and fathers. I can keep God's commands. Today, my teacher and I can talk about how we can keep God's commands. And talk about how you can please Mom and Dad. And talk to your parents about how you can please God by being filial.
If you please Mom and Dad like this, that is the most precious thing that pleases God.
God has promised that many very good blessings in this world will be given to the children who please God.
