Title [2010] Let's Be the Joy of God

(Luke 10:17-24)
‘Are there many happy things in life? Will there be a lot of sad things?’ Have you ever wondered? The reason why the answer cannot be called this is because each person is different, and it depends on their thoughts and values. In Buddhism, life is called confession (a sea of suffering), and the Bible says, “Even if our years are seventy or eighty if we are strong, the pride of those years is our toilet and sorrow” (Psalm 90:10) . That is why, during the three years of Jesus’ public life, “Jesus was delighted” was recorded once (Look 19:41, 70), and “wept and mourned” twice (Luke 19:41 Jerusalem). He sees the crowd mourning over the death of Lazarus (John 11:35). But even in this sad world, people of our faith must live a life that pleases God.
The Bible records what God likes and how to please God.
First, those who live by faith please God (Hebrews 11:5). Faith pleases God. So trust is important. Romans 4:3 “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” So the Bible says in Hebrews 11:6, “Without faith it is impossible to please God. He who comes to God must know that He exists, and that He who seeks Him.” You must believe that He is a rewarder of them.”
Second, worship pleases God (Romans 12:1, John 4:23-24). God is pleased with worship. God hates not worship. On May 15, 2001, at around 10:30 pm, a fire of unknown cause occurred at “Yeji Academy” (95 students, tuition fee of 1.1 million won per month), a university boarding school in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do, resulting in burns and injuries to 20 people. There was a terrible accident that killed people. This is a true story that Kwon Myung-gu Kim, who works for SBS, told me after hearing the “late regret” of a father who lost his son while going to the fire scene.
Third, offerings please God. (Mal. 3:4) In the history of Israel, the priests' lives became so difficult because the people did not give their offerings to God, and God was angry. Originally, when the Israelites led by Moses and Joshua settled in the land of Canaan, God gave land to only 11 of the 12 tribes as an inheritance, and did not give the land to the tribe of Levi (the tribe of priests). He allowed only the site of a house and a vegetable garden, and commanded them to live their lives entirely with tites and offerings from the 11 tribes. So, in Malachi 3:8, God said that the tites and offerings are mine, and He said that if we sincerely give our tites and offerings, He will open the gates of heaven and give us blessings.
Let's please God by saving more spirits by expanding the realm (kingdom) of Jesus.
