Title: Let's become disciples (John 15:7-10)

It is said that the country with the highest density of automobiles compared to the land area is Korea. Also, Korea is said to have the highest number of traffic accidents in the world.

A few days ago, a foreigner in Korea introduced how to drive in Korea and drew attention (News Correspondent, Automotive, an American automobile magazine).

First, the blue light is the starting signal of a car race. The moment the blue light turns on, the horn of the car behind you will sound. go out before that

Second, don't leave a gap of an inch between the cars. If you don't fill that gap, the car behind you will be cold.

Third, if you want to run cool, buy a Remiton car and ride it. All cars will clear the way.

Fourth, drive through all lanes. It will be difficult to move forward if you choose only the driving lane.

Fifth Every time the car is blocked, sound the horn long. It will relieve stress and be good for your health.

Wave your sixth hand. All you have to do is wave your hand. Because I can't see your face >..

In short, it was a sarcastic article about our automobile culture.

From September this year, the Ministry of Education has made it mandatory for kindergartens to teach 40 hours a year and public schools and middle schools for more than 20 hours per year, including the Road Traffic Act and the Misdemeanor Punishment Act.

It is a late idea to teach wrong driving habits or crooked driving culture right from an early age.

From whom you learn, how you learn, and what you learn determine a person's character, life, and faith.

If you learn the right life from a good teacher, you become a person of character. If you learn the true way from a great teacher, you can become a good Christian.

So, it is necessary to meet the master well.

At the end of verse 8, it says, “You will be my disciples.” These words taught us how to become disciples of Jesus.

Let's find out in the text what a person can be a disciple and what a disciple should do.

1. A disciple is a person who abides in Jesus.

Verse 7 says, “If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatever you ask, and it will be done for you.”

The closest people in a relationship are husband and wife. That's why it is also called 'Muchon'. And I call my wife [Ansam]. [Ahnsam] here does not mean just being in the house. It means the person in me, the person who is always with me, the person who lives and works with me.

Verse 4 says, “Abide in me, and I in you.”

That means let's live with me. Come and live in my house, work with me.

What a blessing.> A few friends were sitting around having dinner. Mealtimes were long due to the blooming of various stories, so I turned 10 in the evening. After dinner, we moved to a quiet place and decided to have a cup of tea. One of them called the house, and his wife was sick, so if she wanted to buy some medicine quickly, she left the room first. Then a friend whose wife passed away three years ago said, "Let's get up slowly. We'll have to wait when we get home." There's no one there..." He looked up at the ceiling.

But to be honest, whoever waits at home is a time-limited creature.

It means you can't always wait. Sometimes it is 2 or 3 in the morning when I come back from a local assembly. Every time I get home, the children are asleep, but my wife is waiting.

One day I rang the doorbell outside, but there was no answer. Because I fell asleep while waiting. I thought so, but when I heard no answer even after ringing two or three times, I felt sad.

"Sleeping alone..." But if the position had changed and I had waited, I would have been wandering in a dream.

It is a married couple who dwell [in] each other.

This principle must develop into a relationship with Christ and me.

The important thing is that if you abide in Jesus, it will be done for you. If you change this word, it means that if you abide in Jesus, you do not have to want anything.

In other words, the reason I can't struggle, I can't struggle, and I can't move my feet is because I don't live in Jesus, I live outside Jesus.

If we make a mistake, living in Jesus or living with Jesus can be mistaken for the poor or the bondage.

So, if possible, we have a desire to escape outside of Jesus.

But it is, in a word, the secret to making everything go wrong.

If you want to achieve your will, if you want to pursue happiness, if you want to achieve true success, you must abide in Jesus.

Verse 5 says, “Apart from me you can do nothing.”

2. It must bear fruit.

Verse 8 says, “My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit, and you will be my disciples.”

John 15 begins with the parable of the vine. Verse 2 says, “A branch that does not bear fruit is destroyed by disaster.” Verse 4 says, “Unless a branch is attached to the vine, it cannot bear fruit by itself.” And in verse 5 it says, “If he is in me and I in him, this man will bear much fruit” and in verse 8 it says, “You must bear much fruit to be a disciple.

Trees have ornamental trees and fruit trees. No one seeks fruit from an ornamental tree. But if it is a fruit tree, there must be fruit. The vine is a fruit-bearing tree.

Coveted ripe grapes are the raw material for wine and are a fruit that pleases people. The vine must bear grapes.

We are Christians of the vine that is emphasized in John 15.

And fruitfulness means our natural duty as Christians. Fruit is the result of the tree and is a criterion for evaluation.

No matter how lush the vine is, if it does not bear fruit, it is not a vine branch.

The important thing is that the branch stays on the good vine and does not bear fruit. In short, it is because the nutrition supply is moderate. And in verse 6, it says, “If there is no fruit, people gather it and throw it into the fire and burn it.

Do I have any fruit? What have I done during the year? Do you intend to end this year with only bare branches that have fallen off leaves without bearing even a single fruit? A disciple must bear fruit.

This spring, in kindergarten, I gave out pumpkin seeds to Aedeum and asked them to take them home to plant.

But last week, a kid brought a pumpkin bigger than a head. I planted it in front of my apartment, and it is said that a pumpkin has opened.

If he has not been able to bear even a single pumpkin while walking in and out of the church for a year, he is not even a pumpkin.

Disciple is to be judged by the fruit.

Among the fruits of evangelism, the fruits of prayer, the fruits of service, and the fruits of the Holy Spirit, even if they have not all been produced, shouldn't they bear some fruit?

3. We must keep the commandment of love.

Verse 9 says, “I also loved you, so abide in my love.” Verse 10 says, “If ye also keep my commandments, abide in my love.”

Disciples of Jesus must follow and learn from the life of their Master, Jesus. The life of Jesus is a mission statement in many ways.

For example, poverty, frugality, temperance, diligence, generosity, truth, etc. There is nothing that cannot be imitated. But the most important among them is sacrifice and love.

If those who believe in Jesus and follow Jesus turn away from the love of Jesus, then he is neither a disciple nor a Christian. Jesus' love is, in a word, self-sacrificing love.

It is a love that has given itself freely.

If you study grammar, you will discover that there are many different types of nouns.

There are several types of nouns, such as pronouns, personal pronouns, and abstract nouns. Love is neither a chorus noun nor an adjective.

Love is an event, it is history.

When parents love their children, they are not passionately abstracting and loving something. Love acts and creates events.

In our time now, there is a problem of abstracting love, making it an adjective, making it into a novel, dramatizing it, and turning it into a work.

Love is the story of a mother who does not leave the bedside of her dying child and watches with tears in her eyes all night long.

God's love is not God's book of meditations, contemplating, contemplating, and meditating while watching from a distant heavenly human beings dying of sin.

It is an event of suffering as He Himself came to this earth in a human body and was beaten, torn, and shed on the cross.

A disciple must learn, realize, and practice that love.

After examination, it was concluded that a kidney from a healthy person should be transplanted. The question was who donated the kidneys.

"I am truly touched, everyone. I am surprised that there are so many people who love the servant of the Lord like this. But in this situation, I will point out one person."

He said, "I will choose whoever has this duck down on his head. And let us pray quietly and wait for the will of the Lord." The de dither ducks left the pulpit and began to fly into the synagogue.

But what is this? When a duck feather flies near, the sounds of Lord, hallelujah, Amen from all directions are mixed in the wind, and at the same time, the duck feather flies away to another place. The down is that it didn't sit on anyone's head.

I wondered what I would do if the down feathers were flying over my head to decide who would sacrifice kidneys for the Lord. It's just shameful.

Disciples must learn, follow, and practice the love of the Lord. The greatest commandment among the commandments that a disciple will keep is to practice love.

“Love one another as I have loved you.” Amen.
