Title: Let's become nurturing believers③

1. What is parenting?
2. Biblical example of parenting
3. Why do we need to raise children?
1) God's command (will) (John 21:15~17)
2) Protect your spiritual children by training them with the Word (from Satan and the temptations of sin and the world's winds)
3) Nurturing is the responsibility of spiritual parents in the gospel (1 Corinthians 4:15)
When a new life is systematically nurtured, spiritual growth is rapid and a balanced believer becomes. So, how do you take care of it?
①Nurture with a mother’s heart (1 Thessalonians 2:7,8)
No soul can be saved without true love. If “spirit” is the higher level part of communion with God, “life” refers to the life of the body. Among the values pursued by Christianity, the highest value is love (1 Corinthians 13:13), and the greatest among them is self-sacrificing love that can give up one's own life. This kind of love refers to a love that does not spare everything.
②Nurture with the heart of a father (1 Thessalonians 2:11)
“Counseling” means calling and teaching your children when they are ignorant and misbehaving.
“Comfort” is to encourage a child with soft words when he is weak,
“Vigilance” is a strict witness to the right path when the child goes astray.
4) Nurturing raises up the saints as mature in Christ.
① We become perfect in Christ through nurture (Colossians 1:28)
The method of raising those who have given birth to the children of faith is “to admonish each person and teach each person with all wisdom.” The nurturer must nurture with all his wisdom. However, this wisdom is not human wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:17), but wisdom received from God (1 Corinthians 2:6).
The purpose of nurture is to 'make each one perfect in Christ.' This is to nurture each one in the gospel so that they can stand before the Lord as blameless and blameless (verse 22). say a person Our perfection is found in Jesus Christ.
② You will achieve unity of faith by receiving nurturing (Ephesians 4:13)
Under the vague name of faith, many people have their own beliefs. When the knowledge of Christ is inconsistent, it is impossible to grow into a complete believer. The essential and fundamental doctrine of Christ must be consistent.
③ Nurturing makes the image of Christ (Galatians 4:19)
Paul preached the gospel of the cross in the labors of the first childbirth, but they returned to legalism because they did not form the image of Christ in the hearts of the Galatian church members. Forming the image of Christ is spiritual union with Christ.
④ Nurturing strengthens the saints (Acts 20:32)
The Word of God has power to keep the church from all evil and keep it holy. Only the Lord and the Word are with our nurturers forever. Those who are nurtured become good soldiers and strong soldiers of Jesus Christ.
⑤ Through nurture, we become like the image of the Lord (Romans 8:29)
The saints have already received his image by believing in Christ, and have become the children of God. However, since this condition is not yet complete, the saints wait in hope with the eyes of faith. As we nurture through the Word, we grow into mature believers who resemble the Lord.
5) Nurturing is a way to nurture spiritual workers (2 Timothy 2:2)
Paul preached the gospel to Timothy and raised him. And Paul tells Timothy to entrust the gospel to those who are faithful. A faithful person will teach others. Through this nurture, a spiritual lineage continues. Nurturing is the key to church growth. Nurturing is the secret to re-production.
6) Eternal rewards are given to caregivers.
① There is a reward of glory and joy for nurturers (1 Thessalonians 2:19,20)
A crown (reward) that will never be mixed is prepared for those who win the good fight, save the souls taken away by the evil Satan, and nurture them. Give birth to spiritual children and nurture them. The joy of salvation and the joy of life of faith will be restored.
② Blessed are the nurturers (Matthew 24:45,46)
The steward is a middle manager who manages the house with the resources provided by the owner and distributes food to the lower servants. A ‘loyal and wise servant’, therefore, means a person who is conscientious, discerning, and considerate in the performance of this very office. The nurturer likewise distributes spiritual food to the family members in God's house from time to time, and he said that those who can do it until the Lord returns are blessed.
Saints! A faithful and wise servant is not born. made through nurturing and training. Loyal and wise servants are needed in our day today. Then we will have to nurture such stewards. (continued next week)
