Title: Let's Become Workers Like This
Text: 1 Corinthians 11:16-33
------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------
But if anyone brags about something, I'll brag a little too foolishly. Are they Hebrew? I am also Hebrew. Are they Israelis? I am also Israeli. Are they descendants of Abraham? I am also descended from Abraham. Are they Christ's servants? They see me as a psychopath, but I am even more so. I worked harder than them, I was imprisoned many times, I was beaten many times, and I was on the verge of death many times. I was beaten with 39 rods five times by the Jews, once with stones, and three times with clubs. I was shipwrecked three times, and I had spent all day and night on the sea. Many times I have traveled in danger from rivers, in danger from robbers, in danger from my own people, in danger from Gentiles, in danger in cities, in danger in the wilderness, in danger at sea, in danger from false believers.
The most wonderful person in the New Testament is by far Paul. He didn't buy for himself. He is truly a great man who lived for God. He is an apostle without lies. He is an apostle who lived only for the gospel. He is a man of hope. He is a dream man. Hopeless people do not despair. I lived with a grand design for the gospel. He lived a life that gave up everything for Jesus. He is a scholar. He was born into a prestigious family. He was a happy man who had everything a man would have. Truly, he is a happy person.
Then one day he became a strange person who fell in love with Jesus. He has become a man on a mission. Many saw him as a strange person. Life or death, there was only the Gospel. So he boasted about Jesus. So he was able to overcome any difficulties. In fact, he turned into a strange person. He really had no fun living without God.
I. He is a man of hope
As the years change, car companies create new cars. However, to name one car, a prize money of tens of thousands of won is staked to create a new name. Athos means from A to Z, youth, run. Verna means youth and passion in Italian. Tiburon is also a Stein word for passion. Equus is the Latin word for triumphal general's horse, wonderful chariot. Credos is a Latin word meaning to believe, and Carens is a compound word of Car (car) + Renaissance (revival). Rio is Spanish for fun, dynamic.
Ceres is the goddess of land, agriculture and fertility in ancient Greek mythology. Lacetti is a Latin word meaning powerful, full of youth. Damas means young friends in Spanish, and Espero means hope and expectation in Spanish. Nubi is a pure Korean word. It means to roam. Acadia is the Greek word for scenic, utopia. Rexton is a compound word of Rex (high society) + Ton (modern fashion). Musso is another word for rhinoceros. Korando is a good word for Korea can do in English. Istana means palace in Malay.
We know well that we always live with hope. We run towards the unknown world. I don't know what will happen. But we always live in hope. We are living for a better tomorrow. There are many people who lived in dreams in the Bible. Some people succeed because of their dreams. He was Joseph, one of Jacob's twelve sons. He was a young man of outstanding character and clever material. He won the love of his parents. One day, I have a sweet dream. This becomes a fire. The sun, moon, and stars all bow down to him. But the reality has become like that dream.
A person without hope is actually a poor person. A person without hope is like a living mortal. He's just a person who lives day to day. Such a person is only a waste of time. Paul knew. I lived with hope in heaven. Everything in this world is a person who has thrown away. Paul was also misunderstood because of too much learning. But he was the happiest. He is a man with the hope of heaven. He was a scientific man.
II. Let's be proud of Jesus
There are many people who say that the world has a lot to be proud of. There are people who boast about their health. Some people brag about money. Some people boast of fame. Some people boast about their abilities. They are proud of their knowledge. Those who boast we will surely regret it someday. The day will come when you will find out that you were such a fool. But if there is something we can be proud of, what is it? The Apostle Paul said to the Galatians: I will never boast except in the cross of Christ. There is definitely a Pauline side here.
There are things no one dares to follow. He had a burning passion for evangelism. He lived a life with no regrets. For the sake of the gospel, I went around the world three times to evangelize. He did not care whether he welcomed him or not, whether tribulation came or not, whether he was hungry or not. He only boasted about Jesus. He never gave up on preaching the gospel. We know the phrase ?쐍ever say never??in short English, which means never to give up. He was just that. Only Jesus boasted.
He has a lot to be proud of. He grew up in a good family. I also studied more than others. He was in a high position. There was nothing to be envious of. But after meeting Jesus, he was nothing. But he gave it all up for Jesus. I gave up on everything. However, he was not the only one having difficulties because of this work. I also shed tears. every time was right. I was hungry. been ignored. abandoned by their brethren. If it was like the old days, you will be ignored by people who are not even your opponent. imprisoned. suffered a storm.
Wherever he went, only Jesus boasted. I was rather worried that he would show up. He was just waiting for the reward that God would give him. This was the grace he received. So are we. To do that, we must smell of Jesus. You must smell the fragrance of Jesus. We need to show the image of Jesus little by little. Now let's brag about Jesus. Even in this difficult environment, he boasted only of Jesus. He said to me that to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Such a person is a wonderful Christian.
We must have great ideals. Have we ever drank a heart-wrenching Coca-Cola? you are cool I have the experience of drinking Coca-Cola all over the world. By the way, this is entirely the work of a man named Robert Woodruff. He was president of the company from 1923 to 1955. He promises to get you a bottle of Coca-Cola for just 50 cents. And he swore that he would make everyone in the world drink this drink. But after World War II, that dream came true. In the same way, we, too, must have this ideal.
