Title: Let's Defeat Satan (1 Peter 5:8-11)
Humans are constantly challenged by Satan and constantly fight to live. In particular, believers must fight harder battles and live victoriously. In fact, Satan always challenges us humans. The economic ruin that is inflicted upon us is Satan's second challenge. This is Satan's three great temptations that the Lord received before he began his public life, and it continues to us today.
First, it has brought about an economic collapse.
We are facing the economic collapse of the IMF. This has come to us as a result of our defeat in Satan's darkness, "Let these stones become bread." Bread should be obtained in a normal way, but Satan set his sights on money in an unusual way. True economic growth is not easily achieved by owning others without effort and self-sacrifice.
Second, he made them indulge in self-promotion with the pride of this life.
The temptation to jump from the top of the temple was a show of self. He flaunted his power as a ruler and disturbed this society with all kinds of absurdity, injustice, corruption, pleasure and crime. Deuteronomy 6:l6 "You ... do not put the LORD to the test... ye... take heed from commandments and testimonies and ordinances... and do what is right and good in the sight of the LORD." In the darkness of self-exaltation, our people fell into deeper difficulties.
Third, it causes us to be tempted to change the object of our faith.
"I will give you all these things if you show me all the kingdoms under the heavens and their glory... if you bow down and worship me." These words are the darkness to change what we believe in. It is a big mistake in our society, especially these days, that superstitions such as shamanism and fortune-telling are prevalent, and idolatry such as ancestral rites are publicly practiced like general social events.
In the end, we must realize that this is Satan's attempt to change the object of our worship and that this is Satan's evil plan to bring difficulties to the nation, and we must boldly cry out, 'Go away, Satan, worship the Lord your God and serve him.'
