Title: Let's Enter the Temple of God!

Contents

Bible Text: Psalm 84:1-12

Let's enter the house of God!

God is not with us only when things go well and things go according to our will. Even when we fail, He is with us, even when we are sick, He is there to watch over us. As the psalmist sang today, “When we walk into the Valley of Tears, we make it a place of many springs, and the early rain favors us” (Psalm 84:6). Even when it seems like you are there with him.

What the poet longed for the most was to enter the temple of God. He thought that those who worship while living in God's temple are the happiest people in the world, and that God will bless those who visit Zion, where God's temple is located.

The poet's thoughts were not temporary or emotional, but he was convinced that worshiping in God's temple and fellowshipping with him was the greatest happiness on earth. Do we yearn for our weekly or daily worship and prayer to God more than anything else in this world? Do you believe that in a world without love and without comfort, there is nothing more blissful than being in fellowship with the God who always keeps us under His wings? However, in order for us to receive God's blessings and be happy, there are some principles we must follow.

First, we must become saints who long for the temple.

In today's text, the children of Korah are admiring, "How lovely your tent is, to the point where my soul longs for the court of the Lord, and I fall ill." Through the church, we can meet God through worship, hear the word, and receive God's will through prayer. Just as family members sit around the table to share their daily routine and receive energy of love in harmony, believers should enjoy the word of God as delicacies in the house of the Lord and receive spiritual nourishment. Please restore the spiritual joy you look forward to the day before the Lord, on the day of the Lord, and on the day you meet your servant.

The psalmist says, My soul longs for the courts of the LORD and grows weak; I cry out to the living God. He expressed his feelings by saying. This is an example of the faith that believers should have toward God today. We must long for God more than anything else in this world. We must live a life that praises God. The poet, living in the house of God, and living in the uninhabitable circumstances of Jerusalem, envied those who had the privilege of praising the Lord at all times.

In order to express this more positively, the poet has found a nest for the sparrow, and a nest for the swallow, at your altar. said. Even in this miserable life of being chased away, the poet still respected and trusted God and hoped that he could lead a life of faith to the fullest. Now we have to look at what they care about and want the most. We should live a righteous life by self-diagnosing whether we are setting our tentacles on the wealth of the world like unbelievers or whether we are putting our minds on God's spiritual relationship like a poet.

Second, we must abide in the power of Jehovah.

Our lives are created in the image of God. In verses 5-6 of the text, “The power is supplied by the Lord, and the highway to Zion is opened to those who have this strength in their heart. said As long as I remain in Jehovah's power, all broken relationships will be restored and our faith will rise as an eagle soars on its wings. Those who communicate with God have an open heart and always say, ‘It’s okay. 'I understand. “It could be,” he says. A person who communicates with God will always live a life of accepting, considerate, and sharing everything.

A person who has the highway of Zion in his heart means a person who walks the path set by God. In other words, it refers to a person who draws closer to God with the highest hope of having God as the guide of his or her life. Here, we can see that God is not pleased with just believing in God in our hearts, but that He is pleased with our willful efforts and efforts to keep that belief. God blesses those who live such a life, turning the valley of tears into a fountain of joy and receiving the grace of the early rain. Therefore, those who want to receive such abundant blessings from God must practice God's Word in their lives. “Joshua 1:8 Do not let this book of the law depart from your mouth, but meditate on it day and night, and observe all that is written in it, so that you may make your way prosperous.”

Only those who gain strength from God and gain more can come to God. We cannot approach God by our human strength, but only through God's grace. Today, we often come across people who try to live a life of faith only with their own will and effort. As we know from experience, we always fail without God's helping hand. Because the poet already knew this truth, he was able to make this confession.

Therefore, in order to enjoy the joy of continuous victory until the day we stand before God, we must always rely on God's absolute help through prayer and the Word. “Romans 8:26 In the same way the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words.

The poet, O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer. Give ear, O God of Jacob. We pray, O God, our shield, look upon the face of your anointed.

The God to whom the poet leans and cries out is the God of hosts. He is the God who has the authority to create and rule the entire universe. He is the God of Jacob. He is the God who made a covenant with the people of Israel. Also, God is the shield. God is the guide and protector in our daily life. The psalmist also prays that the face of the Lord's anointed be examined. We seek God's favor by reminding us that we have been anointed king by God's command.

“Ps 20:1 The LORD answers you in the day of trouble, and the name of the God of Jacob exalts you, Ps 33:20 Our souls long for the LORD, he is our help and shield. We are sure that he who began it will bring it to completion by the day of Christ Jesus.”

Psalm 81:1 Sing aloud to God our strength, shout for joy to the God of Jacob!

Dan 11:3 A mighty king will arise, and will rule with great authority, and will act as he pleases.

Mark 1:7 And he preached, saying, One who is mightier than I is coming after me; I am not worthy to bend down and untie his sandals.

1 Corinthians 12:10 To another works of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discernment of spirits, to another speaking in various tongues, and to another interpretation of tongues.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

I pray in the name of the Lord that we will become saints who live only with the power that the Lord gives us.

Third, we must rely on Jehovah.

Verse 12 says, “O LORD of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you.” The problem in our lives is that we try to depend on people other than God. Psalm 139:2-4 says, “You are the God who knows when I sit down and when I rise up; You communicate my thoughts from afar and know all my actions.”

The poet likens God to the sun and the shield. Because God shines light on us and guides us, the source of life is the city, the source of joy and happiness, and the one who protects us whenever we face an unexpected and dangerous situation in life. . In this way, God is always deeply interested in our lives, and He is our guide and protector to the end of the world, and He is the One who gives us the grace of hope in life.

God gives grace and glory to those who depend on Him, and He does not spare any good things. Those who are set apart by God's grace in this world will surely lead them to receive the crown of glory in the kingdom of heaven. Moreover, God always fills us with good things both in spirit and in the flesh so that we may enjoy abundant joy. Jesus said, “Matthew 7:11 If you, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him.) In the same way, God is giving us many graces today. He gives us our daily bread, gives us a place to live, and provides for our various needs from time to time.

1 Kings 17:6 The ravens brought bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.

1 Kings 19:6 And behold, there was bread roasted over charcoal and a bottle of water on the bedside; and they ate and drank and lay down again.

1 Kings 19:7 The angel of the LORD came again and touched him, saying, "Get up and eat, lest you overcome the road."

1 Kings 19:8 Then he got up, ate and drank, and traveled forty days and forty nights by the strength of the food, to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Now I would like to end my speech. It is said that those who fully believe and trust in God are blessed. He loves us and always wants to fill us with good things, but He never blesses us if we don't trust Him, fully trust Him, and follow Him. We must live a life of obedience, obedience, and practice of the commandments that God has commanded us in our daily lives.

James 1:22 Be ye doers of the way, and not hearers, deceiving yourselves.

Only those who dwell in the house of the Lord every day and trust and rely on God alone with the power that the Lord gives, will find peace that the world cannot give. Now, I pray in the name of the Lord that all relationships will become a life where all relationships are pierced like the highway in Zion, and that everyone will ride on the object of blessing.
