Title: Let's Get Blessed in God's House
content agment>
Let's be blessed in God's house (Psalm 118:14-29)
1. God gives a joyful voice in the tent of the righteous (verses 14-18).
(1) The ‘righteous’ in verse 15 refers to the saved children of God.
(2) There is joy in the tent of those who believe in Jesus as their Savior (verse 16). The joy of salvation must be made known to the world (verse 17). Even though death is piled up in the world, even if we suffer God's chastisement and suffer, we must make sure that we preach the salvation of God (verse 18).
2. The righteous are those who strive to enter the temple (verses 19-21).
(1) No matter how hard we try to enter the temple, we can only enter when the door of righteousness is opened. The psalmist commands that the door of his righteousness be opened. First, he confessed that he was righteous. Second, open the door to give thanks to Jehovah God.
(2) Look at the Bible. We can read that the blind minister, the lame, the leper, the paralyzed, and even the dead were used as instruments of Jesus' great ministry. Their suffering was the gateway to greater blessings.
3. God uses even the stone rejected by the builders as the cornerstone (verses 22-23).
(1) Imagine a construction site.
(2) Instead of focusing on how the world sees me, I hope that you will focus on how God sees you and lead your life of faith.
4. There are times when God has appointed blessings (verses 24-25).
(1) This is the day when the stone rejected by the builders becomes the cornerstone of the house.
(2) The day you enter the temple is the day God has ordained blessing. Please pray for salvation (v. 25a, see Psalm 38:5-22). Pray for prosperity (v. 25b).
5. The priest proclaims God's blessing in “the house of the Lord” (vv. 26-27).
(1) Who will receive the blessing of salvation and prosperity? Those who “come in the name of the Lord” and those who stay in “the house of the Lord” (verse 26).
(2) God gives us light (verse 27).
6. Now, let the people of righteousness who came to the temple give thanks to the Lord (verses 21,28-29).
(1) We should be thankful for the Lord's answer and because we were saved. And it is worthy of exalting and praising the Lord.
(2) The goodness and mercy of the Lord endure forever (verse 29).
As our church celebrates its 59th anniversary, I pray that it will be filled with the sounds of pleasing God.
I bless you with the sound of salvation. I pray that the testimonies that God's right hand has spread His power to help you overflow will overflow. God has given me such a blessing on this day.
