Title: Let's Go Deep / Luke 5:1-11
Let's go deep into the content / Luke 5:1-11
One day, Jesus needed a pulpit to testify to many saints at the seaside. At the same time, Simon Peter's boat had returned from fishing all night. Jesus rented a boat from Peter and set off a little offshore, and there he taught his audience the truth of the kingdom of heaven. Then he commanded Peter to go into the deep and let down the nets.
Peter had toiled late into the night and produced no results, but he obeyed the words of Jesus and went deep into the depths and let down his nets. But something amazing happened. There were so many fish that the nets were torn, not even a single catch was caught overnight. Peter succumbed to this amazing miracle, confessed that he was a sinner, and became a disciple of Jesus. Like Peter, we live a life of failure, failing no matter how hard we try, no matter how hard we try. But by obeying our Lord's commands, we can live a victorious life if we go to the depths. Then, how can we enjoy the blessing of obtaining a lot of meat like Peter?
First, you need to untie the string. Peter was very tired. If I had caught a lot of fish, I probably wouldn't have known I was tired. He must have wanted to go back quickly and rest. However, in obedience to the Word, he overcame his tired body and loosened the anchor of the ship. This was Peter's first act of blessing. Our lives are bound by many strings that keep us from receiving blessings. Temptation and the world. You have to cut them off. The pleasures of this world, such as material honor, power, self-obsession, entangle us and immobilize us on our way to spiritual blessings.
Second, we must leave the land. Ships are for the sea. Because of this, ships are of no use on land. They can't even bear the heavy weight. In obedience to the Lord's command, Peter untied the boat's anchor and left the land to enter the sea. The only way we can go toward blessing is to leave the land. In the Bible, there are people and people who left the land and were blessed. Abraham. I have been commanded by God to leave the homeland of my relatives and fathers. The fact that he left alone allowed him to possess the blessing of Canaan. God also told Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. With this departure alone, God allowed the Israelites to experience many wonders and miracles.
Third, you must obtain the power of the wind. When there is wind, the boat moves forward. The wind symbolizes the Holy Spirit and symbolizes God's help and blessing. It does not come from the world, people, or anything else. Only when we gain the power of the wind can we win and succeed.
