Contents Bible text: Matthew 15:21-28 Title: Let's have great faith!
The author of Hebrews said, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the substance of things not seen.
evidence,” he said. (Hebrews 1:1) The apostle Paul said that faith comes from hearing, and hearing
By the word of Christ.” (Romans 10:17)
First, let's ask ourselves questions about our beliefs.
Do you know what kind of faith? What is the current state of my faith?
Is it a complete faith that has all the wisdom, truth, and impartial? In the intellectual belief that only believes
doesn't it pass? Isn't that just a static belief that you believe only emotionally?
Is it nothing more than a willful belief?
Is it dead faith? (James 2:17)
Little faith? (Matthew 8:26)
Is it great faith? (Matthew 15:28)
Is it a rootless belief? (Luke 8:13)
Is it a great belief? (Matthew 8:10)
Is it a precious faith? (2 Peter 1:1)
Is it an adventurous faith? (Matthew 14:28)
Are you currently struggling to keep your faith? (1 Timothy 1:19)
“Have faith and a good conscience, for some have forsaken conscience,
Shipwrecked,” he says. Have there not been holes in my faith and conscience?
What is my current belief? Is my belief really that great?
Through the text, what kind of faith is great faith? Let's find out.
1. Great faith is faith that does not stumble under any circumstances.
The Canaanite woman in the text is ① treated as a dog ② but also in anger ③ greatly
Even if I was ignored ④ I didn't stumble even if I was seen as insignificant.
Jesus praised that woman for how great your faith is.
But, let alone treat us like dogs, we only treat them nice, but for whatever reason.
Wasn't he the one who stumbled a lot and vomited only complaints?
2. Great faith is the faith to be thankful for in any case.
The Canaanite woman expressed her great gratitude to her owner just by eating the crumbs.
But isn't he the one who vomits dissatisfaction rather than gratitude after packing up like a mountain?
3. Great faith is the faith that receives answers in any case.
In the end, this Canaanite woman received the answer, “Do whatever you wish” (verse 28).
Great faith is the faith that allows you to hear the voice of Jesus, saying, “Do whatever you want.”
4. Great faith is a faith that will never regret under any circumstances.
This Canaanite woman pleaded for her daughter who was possessed by a vicious demon.
① Before Jesus, who did not answer a single word,
② Despite the voices of the disciples asking him to send her away,
③ Or that it is not right to take the children's bread from Jesus and toss it to the dogs.
I never thought I would regret it even in the words.
Great faith, let's try to have this faith Amen. Hallelujah!
