Let's keep our hearts
(Proverbs 4:23)
(1) Be strong (verse 10)
(…) Today's Word speaks of spiritual health. In verse 10 of the text, “Be ye strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.” It is the heart of Jesus Christ, the heart of Jesus. Be strong in His strength. (…) Be strong in the Lord.
(2) Put on full armor (verse 11)
(…) Many weapons have been developed to save lives. So, what should we do to keep our hearts?(…) We must wear the belt of truth. Christians must gird themselves with the belt of truth, the word. You must attach the breastplate of righteousness. That is, do not allow sin to settle in your heart. You must wear the shoes of the gospel. God protects your feet. Good shoes go everywhere. This means that no matter what circumstance you are in, do not be shaken. You must have the shield of faith. When the arrow of lewdness hits your heart, you burn with lust for the rest of your life. If you are hit by the arrow of greed, you are stingy, cruel, and thirsty for the rest of your life. That's why I told you to have a shield so you don't get hit by this arrow. You must wear the helmet of salvation. Faith must protect the head. You must avoid heresy. We must not be indoctrinated by the winds of the world. You must have the sword of the Spirit in your hand. Faith should also be defensive, but sometimes the offense becomes active.
⑶ Pray forever (verse 18)
Is it okay to be fully armed like this? It's not like that. You must pray with ignorance. Carelessness calls for mistakes. We need constant prayer. What weapons do we have today to guard our hearts? Amen.
