◎ Bible text: Daniel 6:10
let's kneel before God
*Text: 10 Daniel knew that this decree had been stamped with the king's seal, but when Daniel returned to his house, he went up to the upper room, opened the window toward Jerusalem, and, as he had done before, got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks to his God.

When I asked which aunt does she have time for herself? 'Yes, I do it often.' What do you usually do at that time? 'Look at today's horoscope in the magazine!'
What do you usually do when you have your own time? Has anyone ever knelt before God? Take some time for yourself and quietly kneel before the Lord. You will experience the amazing grace of God, and sometimes you will experience miracles.
“It was a cold winter night. A widow with her young son was trembling in an unfired room. They had nothing to eat. The two mothers were hungry, but they had no choice but to read the Bible. It was then that I read 1 Kings 17. It tells the story of God feeding Elijah through a raven. Reading these words, the two hats gained courage. So I knelt down and prayed earnestly. When the prayer was over, the little son suggested that we leave the door open for the crows to come in. I happened to pass by at that time, and the mayor found it strange that the window was open in the cold winter and went in to ask the reason. And the head of the city said that he would become a crow and brought him food and firewood.”
Is it beautiful to see a mother kneeling before God and praying? Does it look ugly? Father's face is even more beautiful!
The title of today's sermon is "Let's kneel before God." In other words, I want to give you the message of kneeling before God and praying.
Shin Doyang (新島襄), a Japanese man, said, "You have to go to heaven on your knees." The life of the knee is undoubtedly a life of prayer.
Daniel knelt before God. why? It is to pray to God. A closer look at his kneeling makes a very good model case for our faith.
1. Three breeds kneeled in one day.
At the appointed time, I get down on my knees and pray to God. Peter and Cornelius did the same, and most of the early Jewish believers prayed to God three times a day. Of course, three is a number that has special meaning for the Jews. Because the number 3 was ordained by God.
I think that even people in our country have done something so that they will not regret it if they do it three times. We have no complaints if we lose three or three matches in Gyorugi, and we pride ourselves on winning. If you do it once or twice, you will feel that something is missing. Even if we lose, we don’t win well, and even if we win, it doesn’t seem like an honorable victory.
Of course, number three is not important. The important thing is to set a time and get down on your knees before God and pray.
I ask you, saints, to get down on your knees before God at the appointed time.
2. If you kneel before God, even if it kills you, you kneel.
Now, Daniel was put in effect by the decree issued by King Darius of Babylon, who ruled over him, for 30 days from today, when he asked for anything from any god or man, except the king, to throw him into the lions' den. If you kneel before God now and pray, you will be immediately thrown into the lions' den. But Daniel doesn't care, he gets on his knees and prays to God.
At least, those who kneel before God must have faith that there is no one greater than God. If you give up on your knees to God because you are afraid of power or men's threats, you cannot say that you are completely on your knees.
How are we? How much do you give up on prayer time? I give up not because of death threats, but for trivial reasons. It is so easy to give up on kneeling at the threat of a boss, at the threat of a business partner, at the threat of a parent, or at the threat of a brother. Why? It is proof that there is still something more terrifying than God. I believe that there is a power other than God that can keep me alive. They do not believe in the absolute power of God. I believe that God is far away.
3. I got down on my knees and gave thanks.
What would you be grateful for? It's not because things are going well now. It's not because things are better now. Daniel was thankful that he had a God he could rely on. I was grateful to be able to kneel down to God even in the face of death threats.
Dear saints, do not be thankful for what has been accomplished.
The prophet Habakkuk said, “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails, the fields produce no food, there are no sheep in the pen, and there are no cattle in the stalls, yet I rejoice in the LORD. and I will rejoice in the God of my salvation” (3:17-18).
Dear saints and mothers of the Four Women’s Evangelism,
Get down on your knees. Set a time and get down. And consider it your best time, and don't yield to anything or substitute for anything else. During that time, don't give up even if your life is threatened. Get on your knees quietly and thank God. How pleased will God be? You may want to dance, too. It's unique and bold and you won't be able to stand it.
Someone said, "God's hand moves the world, and God's hand moves prayer." It's not really wrong.
Alexis Carell, MD, Nobel Prize winner in Physiology, said: "Prayer is the most powerful form of energy that humans can produce. The effect of prayer on the body and mind is the same as that of hormones. If you pray consistently, you can increase your intellectual vitality and gain a broader understanding of your relationships. Also, prayer is essential for perfect personal growth. In prayer, we can obtain the power of God that is necessary for weak human beings."
Continuous prayer is a powerful energy source for life.
Let's get down on our knees. Let's get down on our knees and pray continually.
