Title: Let's live a purposeful life
Contents
We are all made by God and made for God. Until we understand this, we will never find the meaning of life. The Bible teaches, “For all things come from the Lord, and through him and to him return” (Colossians 1:16).
We were made for God and we were made to live with God forever. And you have to admit that you exist for God. Only then can we understand our life. But our problem is that too often we put ourselves first in everything. The purpose of our life is not about me. It's about God. When we realize this very basic truth, our lives will be happier.
Life in this world is a preparation for eternity. We should all be able to see eternity beyond this time now (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
How can we see eternity and prepare for eternity? You must live a purpose-driven life. A purpose-driven life will help us prepare for eternity using the rest of our lives. There is certainly a world beyond the life we live here and now. We are created to live forever. Knowing this, we will know that we are more valuable than anything else in this world. No job, no relationship, can make me more valuable than the fact that I was made to live forever and that God wants and loves me.
What proves the preciousness of myself, changing my values, and changing my priorities in life is the fact that I was created for eternity.
Life has five purposes. First, what am I here for? It exists for the joy of God (worship). We are made for God's pleasure. Second, I was made to be part of God's family (fellowship). Third, I was created (trained) to be like Jesus. And fourth, I was built to serve God (Ministry). Finally, fifth, I was created to preach the gospel (evangelism). This is the purpose of life. This is why God sent us to this earth.
The important thing is that it is for God's pleasure that God created us to live according to His purpose.
When we know these five purposes, and when we live them, we realize that we have been sent to this earth for the joy of God. Therefore, we must live our lives responsibly for these purposes. You can never go back. Let's look at Philippians 3:16. “But wherever we have come, we will do it.”
“Life is preparation for eternity, and I want to spend the time of my life fulfilling the five God-given purposes in this world. I was built for the joy of the Lord. So every day I will use my life to love God more and get to know Him more. I was built to be part of God's family. Therefore, I will live every day showing love to other saints. I am made to be like Christ. Therefore, I will now live each day choosing to develop my character. I am made to serve God. Therefore, I will now live a life of serving God by serving others every day. I was created to spread the gospel. Therefore, from now on, I will live by sharing the gospel every day.”
