Title: Let's Live and Save the Nation
Contents
Historically, great believers are people who sacrificed themselves and gave their lives for their country and people. They are pioneers who have denied themselves and laid down their lives for the sake of the national community. A patriot is a person with spiritual and spiritual leadership who loves his country and people. What is the true path of patriotism revealed through the text?
“You do not think that it is profitable for you that one man should die for the people so that the whole nation may not perish” (verse 50). He said, 'Through the mouth of Caiaphas, the death of Jesus on the cross to save all mankind is revealed' (verses 51-52).
First, the way to save the nation is the faith (gospel) of Christ.
Whenever the country is in turmoil, everyone from all walks of life raises their voices and insists that they save the country. However, not only the 2,000-year history of Christianity, but all the history of the world speaks. God is the ruler of history. The rise and fall of a nation and nation does not lie in the military, politics, or economy, but in whether God's justice is right. The problem is sin. "Justice glorifies a nation, but sin dishonors the people" (Proverbs 14:34) What is faith? It is righteousness (Romans 1:17; 10:10,17). Our faith in Jesus Christ is self-defeating. Just as God's Son Jesus Christ's death on the cross saved us, now the life of serving our neighbors and loving the nation, that is, the gospel we believe in, saves the nation and history (Hab 2:4).
Second, the way to save the nation is through the love of Christ.
The way the nation lives is to plant the love of Christ in the hearts of this nation. At some point, poison entered this nation. Numerous toxins have shaken the soul of the nation, including the poison of shame that came in through foreign invasion, the poison of the left and the right, the poison of oppression and corruption caused by military dictatorship, and the poison of a vicious faction that broke the hearts of the people by fostering local emotions. We need to get rid of this poison, but the solution is the love of Jesus on the cross who killed himself and accomplished the work of reconciliation on this earth (Isaiah 53:5-6). This love must enter this nation's heart. It is the love of Jesus who became the sacrifice of reconciliation. "Whatever you would like others to do to you, do also to them. This is the law (love) and the prophets (leader)" (Matthew 7:12). Our love for one another (1 John 4:7-8) is patriotism. Complimenting each other is love. It is not patriotism only if you give your life to die. One kind word is patriotism. Let's practice!! "I love you in the name of the Lord. Do you ever need my help?"
Third, saving the nation is hope.
