Title: Let's Live by Creative Faith
Contents
A significant year 2007 has begun. We should not start without any goals. You will have to make a new decision, set a new goal, and move forward with creative faith.
When we have creative faith, we can overcome darkness and shine. You can establish order in chaos. What kind of people do people with this creative faith look like?
1. People with creative faith always live with expectations.
Genesis 1:5 says, “He called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.” We Koreans start our day with morning. And it ends with dinner. It begins with life and ends with death. However, every day recorded in the Bible is not like that. The article of creation always repeats the same words at the end of each day's work. “There was evening and there was morning, the first day” “There was evening and there was morning, the second day” Why did it start with evening and not morning? That dinner is not over. Completion is done in the morning. No matter how dark your reality may be, look at it and do not be discouraged. After the dark night, a bright morning will open to us. We will have to rely firmly on the God who makes the evening and the morning.
2. People of creative faith set clear goals.
From the first day when God created the heavens and the earth, He had a clear goal. He accomplished creation according to the blueprint drawn by God. Let there be light, and there was light. Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and there was a firmament. All of this never happened by chance. This was done according to God's creative plan. Likewise, a person of creative faith always lives with clear goals.
What goals do you have in mind as you start 2007? God will fulfill the goal you set for yourself. The God of creation has also given you the power of creation as you were created in his image. When we have a goal in our hearts and work towards it, God will help us achieve it.
3. People with creative faith work hard.
Let's recite Genesis 1:1 together. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth!” Our God is a God of creation, a God of work. Let's read verse 2 together. “The earth was formless and empty, and darkness was over the deep, and the Spirit of God moved over the waters.” Why did the gods of God operate on the water surface? It was operated to carry out the work of creation. Even now, the God of God is operating in every nook and cranny of the universe. So Jesus said, “My Father works, I work!” How hard did Jesus work for us sinners until He came to this earth and said, “It is finished!” on the cross of Calvary. We, who have creative faith, must also become loyal and do our best for the given goal. It should be a faith that does the best until the given goal is achieved, rather than being loyal.
This is a word of conclusion.
In God's work of creation, on the first day, He made light and said, “It was good in God’s sight”, but on the second day, “It was good in God’s sight” is not recorded. Why? It is because it was in an unfinished state that was not yet completed. The expanse still had to be formed by the sun, moon, and stars, and the waters under the firmament had to be divided into sea and land. Because it is still in an unfinished state, the word that it was good in God's sight was not recorded.
Also, after God created man, He did not say that it was good in God's sight. Why? In a word, human beings are not yet finished products. We humans are beings that are being built. It is a being that goes from imperfection to completion.
God has given us many materials. He has given you health, talents, sarcasm, and material things. Why did you give these things to us? I think that's what he meant to make good use of these things to create a wonderful life and a wonderful finished product.
A person with creative faith makes a wonderful and beautiful life by working hard with gratitude and obedience with it, no matter how insignificant materials are given to them.
Dear saints, With creative faith and anticipation, when we look into the future and work hard toward the set goal, God will accomplish creative work through us today. May you have a blessed year that pleases the Lord and that it was good in God's sight.
