Title: Let's Live for the Lord

Contents

Let's live for the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:13-17)

I. way of life

(1) Everyone has a different way of living. Basically, the methods of solving the problems of food, clothing and shelter in daily life are almost the same, but it depends on what you are living for. We Christians should have a purpose in life to live for the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:15).

(2) Who is a Christian?

They are those who have God as their Father (Romans 8:15-16). They are those who have had Jesus Christ as their king (1 Peter 2:9). They are those who have the Holy Spirit, the Comforter (John 14:16-17).

There are words that Christians must remember when they try to live for the Lord.

First, the great command of God (Matthew 28:19-20). Second, the great commandment of God (Matthew 22:37-40). The motive of new life is the love of Christ (verse 14).

II A New Creation in Christ

(1) 'Anyone' can become a new creature. If you believe in Jesus, you will be born again (John 1:12, 3:16). The born-again believers must live the life of those who find Christ in their hearts (Galatians 2:20). We must test ourselves to see if we can always live with the Lord (2 Corinthians 13:4-5). A new creation is a new life given by God the Holy Spirit (John 3:3,5). Then the old will pass away and the new will be made (verse 17).

(2) We Christians are unhappy if we do not live according to our changed status even though our status has changed.

. How do you live a life for the Lord?

(1) It is a life that does not live according to the flesh (verse 16). Living a life that reveals Jesus.

(2) We do not live for ourselves (verse 15). This purpose was not established by me. This purpose was made because he died for me (Philippians 3:12). So if you live for yourself, you die. However, if you forsake yourself and live for the Lord, you will live (Mark 8:35).

We live for our neighbors. The new life is a life of fishing (1 Corinthians 9:14).

Why is there no change in life?

Because we do not live in Christ. Because they live according to the flesh and live only for themselves. Because we don't live for our neighbors. Now it must be new. It must change from a life for myself to a life for the Lord. Then we will become new creations in God's grace every day.
