Title: Let's Live Good / Job 31:24-30

Contents Let's live a good life

(Job 31:24-30)

When did I make gold my hope, when did I say to you, pure gold, that you trust in me? When did I rejoice over the abundance of riches and the abundance of my hands? When my heart was seduced and kissed my hand? This is also a sin punishable by the judge. If you do, you have betrayed the God who is above (Job 31:24-28).

------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------------------------

We do not know when we will fall and become defiled if we are not careful. Therefore, we warned that those who stand on their own will be careful not to fall. In today's text, we can think in three ways.

First, Job coveted the riches of the world and did not set his heart on them.

In verses 24-25 of the text, it is said that Job did not covet the world’s riches, so that he could not spur his heart out of it or regard it as a condition of happiness. In the Bible, nowhere does it say that money brings peace to man. Don't try and throw away my private wisdom. Why do you focus your attention on futile things? Surely riches will spread out their wings and fly like an eagle in the sky. Here I am not saying that money is a sin, nor that those who have money are evil. Not to say that God loves the poor and hates the rich. Many godly people in the Bible were rich. People like Abraham, David, Solomon, Job, Philemon, Lydia, were also rich. Everyone, who gave you the wealth? God gave it to you Job They were not satisfied with their wealth. In Job 1, both those who gave and those who took away are the LORD. Blessed be the name of the LORD.

In 1 Timothy 6:7 it says that we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything with us. I was foolish because I lived with hope in the world

Second, Job did not commit the sin of idolatry.

In verses 26-27, it is about when I lived while worshiping the sun and the moon as idols. God tells us not to worship idols because He loves us We do not want to love anything other than God Job never glorified any creature except God He did not commit the sin of idolatry We are God It is an idol to love more than I hope that all of us will become members of Saegil Church who do not commit the sin of idolatry and live a good life.

Third, Job says he has never harmed anyone.

In verse 29 he says that he did not expect any harm or rejoice even though he was an enemy. In Matthew 5:43 the Pharisees taught you to love your neighbor but hate your enemy. He saw those who hated perish, but he did not rejoice in the slightest bit. In verse 30, if someone else has an evil heart toward me, I will not be justified if I have an evil heart. David made his enemies against Saul, who hated him. I did not take revenge in the Bible, God said that it is with me to take revenge. If you do not pay revenge at the opportunity, God will bless you even more.

I thought about three things today. I believe that this is the image of the saints and the image of Jesus. Let us all live a good life. I believe that God will not only make you a greater person, but will also give you greater blessings.
