Let's worship live (Romans 1 2:1-2)
Worshipers must have the consciousness of life so that they can offer themselves as sacrifices to God. The only way a person can get life is that Jesus saves him. We become living sacrifices when we have faith that Christ lives in me instead of me.
1. We must offer spiritual worship (verse 1).
(1) Spiritual worship is worship offered to God in spirit and truth (John 4:23-24).
(2) The only way for man to truly serve God is to “live by the life of Christ.”
2. Why does our worship become 'dead worship' rather than live worship?
(1) It is because they serve God according to the ceremonial law (religious rites), not the life of the Son (the Holy Spirit).
(2) Not giving the 'whole life' in relation to the breadth of devotion is dead worship.
⑶ No matter what form of godliness you have, living according to the flesh without walking according to the Holy Spirit is dead worship. And to serve God 'with the power of the flesh' is also dead worship.
3. What is the most fundamental and important thing in life when you offer your body to God as a living sacrifice? (verse 2)
(1) Discerning the will of God (Romans 12:2).
First, you must be as innocent as a child (Matthew 11:25-26). Second, we must be filled with the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:10-16). Third, we must live in the spirit of wisdom and revelation (Ephesians 1:8,9,17-19).
(2) We must not imitate the world.
Why should Christians not imitate this generation (the world)? Because our lives belong to God and therefore our hope is in God (1 John 2:15-17).
⑶You must renew your mind.
⑷ Knowing the will of God.
4. Specific ways to understand God's will correctly
(1) It is about making an effort to pray.
(2) Meditating on the Bible.
Living worship is giving our lives to God. It means living in the Spirit. Worship in life is important. And the worshiper must offer himself as a sacrifice. In order to have a living worship service, we must renew our minds, not conforming to this world, in order to discern God's will. To know God's will, we must pray and meditate on His Word. At that time, God will be pleased with our worship and will reveal His will. Then you will find God in your life. This is our spiritual worship.
