Title: Let's Love One Another / John 3:16
If the most important thing in the Bible to say is, "God is wisdom," we will have no choice but to be anxious. Because all our sins will be exposed before the God of wisdom who sees even our innermost heart.
If the most important thing in the Bible to say is, “God is justice,” we would have no choice but to be afraid. Because the God of justice will surely punish all our sins severely.
If the most important thing in the Bible to say is, "God is almighty," we will have no choice but to die in fear. Because Almighty God will do nothing to punish our sins.
That is why John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
This loving God, this God's love is the key to solving many riddles. It is because of love that he created, governed, and provided for all things in the universe and man, and it is because of love that he created man in God's image and gave him a free will. With that freedom, he tried to save those who chose the path of disobedience instead of obedience to God. It is also because of love, and it is because of love that He forgives our sins and gives us eternal blessings as long as we believe in Him even when He gave Jesus Christ to the cross.
In this way, as we were created in the image of God, who is love itself, and because we became the beloved children of the God of love through the unspeakable love of Jesus Christ, today’s text emphasizes that we should love each other too. saying so. In verse 7, "Beloved, let us love one another...", in verse 11, "Beloved, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another." By this we know love, and we ought to lay down our lives for our brethren."
Our love for each other is evidence of many things. Just as Jesus said, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another, if you love one another” (John 13:35). Our love for one another is proof that we are true disciples of Jesus Christ. is.
Our love for one another is evidence that we truly know and believe in God. “Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God, and whoever does not love does not know God” (verses 7-8).
Our love for one another is evidence that we are with God. Verse 12 says, “No one has seen God at any time; but if we love one another, God abides in us.” Verse 16 also says, “He who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” na," he says. 1 John 3:24 says, "He who keeps his commandments abides in the Lord, and the Lord abides in him, and we know that he abides in us through the Holy Spirit, which has been given to us."
Our love for one another is proof that we truly love God. Verse 20 after the text says, "If anyone says, "I love God, and hates his brother, he is a liar. He who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen."
Our love for one another is evidence that we are in life and truth. 1 John 3:14 says, "We know that we have passed from death into life because we love our brother; but he who does not love remains in death." In 1 John 3:18-19, "Children, we Do not love only in love, but in deeds and in truth/ by this we know that we belong to the truth."
Love sometimes requires concessions and sacrifices on the part of the loved one, but in reality it benefits the loved one more than the loved one. What will be the benefit of a loved one? 1 John 4:17-18 says, “In this way love is made perfect in us so that we may have boldness on the day of judgment, as He is, so we are in this world. cast out, for fear has punishment; he who fears is in love.
In 1 John 3:22-23, "Whatever we ask, we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do the things that are pleasing in his sight/ These are his commandments, his Son Jesus Christ. let us believe in his name and love one another as he commanded us."
Guys, what are we proud of right now? Are you healthy? property? is it power? Is it honor? is it knowledge? Or is it something like the gift of tongues or prophecy? They are all disappearing. What did the apostle Paul say in 1 Corinthians 13:8? “Love will never fail; prophecy will pass away, tongues will cease, knowledge will pass away.” What else did he say is always left over? Isn't it only faith, hope, and love, and above all, love? Didn't it say, "Therefore, faith, hope, and love, these three will always exist, but the greatest of these is love" (1 Corinthians 13:13)? Earlier, in 1 Corinthians 13:1-3, he said, "If I speak in the tongues of men and the words of angels, but without love, I become a sounding copper and a chirping cork/ I have the power to prophesy, knowing all mysteries and all knowledge If I have all faith that can be moved, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all that I have and give my body to be set on fire, but without love, it is of no use to me.”
Here's a snippet from the French "Without Love" that I have kept for a long time:

Life without love is foolishness.
Dear brothers and sisters, let love be our property and our pride. Let love that is not boastful and works hard is our true pride. I said a while ago that I dream of having the word "new textual" appear in the dictionary. And he said that he dreamed that the meaning of "abounding in love" would be included among the many meanings that the word "Saemoonan" would have. "Church overflowing with love", this
At the beginning of today's text, I say with the earnest heart of the Apostle John, who said, "Beloved, let us love one another."
