Title: Let's Love Our Parents / Ephesians 6:1~3
Content: Let's love our parents / Ephesians 6:1~3
“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right” (Ephesians 6:1-3).
Word: The Ten Commandments God gave are made up of two stone tablets. One is written about what God must keep, and the other is about what humans must protect. The first commandment we humans must keep is about our parents. “Honor your father and mother, so that your life may be long in the land the LORD your God is giving you” (Exodus 20:12). 3). Respect and filial piety to parents is a basic human duty.
That is why the Bible clearly states this in the Ten Commandments and warns that children who are disloyal to their parents should be severely governed. In fact, parents are precious enough to be said to be a visible God. Therefore, the ungodly cannot love God properly.
The current state of affairs is not really the case. Not long ago, there was an incident where several children left their elderly mother unattended at the market. They had many children, but they did not want to have any of them. It is said that the elderly mother, who was being investigated at the police box, pleaded for mercy while covering up the children's mistakes, saying that their children never abandoned them. It's a sad world indeed. Who was born without parents, and who grew up without parental care? A child who forsakes the Heavenly Law will be subject to God's wrath and judgment.
How should we be filial to our parents?
First, we must obey and honor the Lord. That is, we must be filial in the word of the Lord and in the will of the Lord. First, we need to take care of the souls of our parents and help them trust the Lord. Even if you are good at caring for people, what use is it if your parents don't believe in God? You must take care of the spiritual life of your parents.
Second, you must put your heart and soul into it.
You must make your parents comfortable with your sincere heart and sincerity. The older you get, the faster you notice. Careful attention and effort must be taken to avoid becoming a burden.
Third, literally, you need to be good at raising children. We need to take care of our weak bodies and take care so that there are no difficulties in life. You have to be materially generous. Let's do our best for the parents by thinking of investing in their children.
