Title: Let's Obey God's Best

▒▒ Bible : Daniel 3:13~18
What we are going to look at in today's text is the faith of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. I bless you in the name of the Lord to start 2008 with the true faith of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and the precious faith to obey and follow God's best.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had the right faith, but the first thing they decided to do was stand in front of the furnace. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego could not stand before the furnace. If I bowed before idols, I could not stand in front of the furnace. Nevertheless, to say that these three friends stood before the furnace means that they did not worship idols until the end.
Jesus was also tempted to turn stones into bread, to jump from the top of the temple, and to bow down to me only once. Then there was the devil's test that he could obtain the desired material, honor, and authority. But Jesus overcame all these idols with the word of God. There are many things in us that lead us to invest our sincerity, our hearts, and our thoughts more than God. It could be a business, it could be material, it could be a company, it could be my honor, it could be my family. But if we say “no” to that, we can sometimes be bullied, ridiculed, and miss opportunities to earn money and careers.
The meaning of standing before the furnace today is a confession and declaration that we will not serve anything other than God excessively more than God. It is a fact that even if we are faced with hardship, we will not give up on it. Only God, only our Lord, I will do my best to serve only the Lord. All the disadvantages resulting from that are a decision not to care.
The first and most important thing is that we move forward head-on without avoiding the many difficult problems that realistically confront us. The Apostle Paul faced those difficult problems and saw that his prayers were not answered, but in Romans 14:8, “If I live, I live for the Lord, and if I die, I have nothing but death for the Lord.” He made a great confession.
Also, Martin Luther faced various difficulties during the Reformation. Later, on an order to appear at the Worms conference, Martin Luther went to the Worms conference, a conference in which Martin Luther could have attended and died. So the people next to you said to Martin Luther, "The people trying to kill you are going to the Worms conference, what do you do?" Martin Luther replies, “Even then, I am in the hands of God.” How valuable is your answer? “When I stand before the cardinals, the popes, and the bishops, I am in God.” Even if our problems are not solved and we are in various problems, it is true faith that we are in God.
The second time, King Nebuchadnezzar was angry and declared, “No god can save the furnace from the fire.” He made the fire seven times stronger than usual, but these three friends said, “God is able to deliver, and he will not.” Even if we do, we will never bow down.” Says.
“Even if you do not” is a very important word. “The outcome has nothing to do with me. The outcome is up to God.” That's an important answer. The result has nothing to do with me, and we only need to serve God alone today. So who will be responsible for the outcome? It is God's responsibility. In 2008, we believe that we can do our best to trust and serve God alone. Leave the rest to God.
The third important thing is the conviction that God is with you no matter what. King Nebuchadnezzar thought that as soon as they entered, they would all be burned to death. But not three people, but one more person was seen inside. What is even more surprising is that King Nebuchadnezzar said, “The fourth person who walks in one of them is like a son of a god.” The story that comes out of the mouth of the one who opposes God is not the story that comes out of the mouth of a believer, but that “the fourth person is the Son of God, the Son of God.” This is the surprising confession.
Dear brothers and sisters, please be sure that God is with us. How mysterious and mysterious the Bible is, King Nebuchadnezzar said, “Then there is the Son of God.” This is King Nebuchadnezzar's praise to the God of God. The man who tried to kill the three has now been reversed, and an amazing work has happened with his mouth praising Jehovah God, whom Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego serve.
Where does this amazing fact come from? “I will serve only one, Jehovah God. I will obey God's best. I will not serve any idol.” This starting point has led to an amazing miracle. These three had no idea that such a miracle would happen. They never thought that King Nebuchadnezzar would praise God in the same way when he saw God raising them to life.
The three men prayed, “God, if it is possible, let this bitter cup pass, and even if the bitter cup comes, please drink it boldly.” There was only that. More than that prayer, we see that God is leading the amazing works that we cannot imagine, leading King Nebuchadnezzar to praise God and glorify God today. Only obedience to the best of our God was the beginning of unraveling that thread.
That was also the beginning of 2008. Only Jehovah God, with all our lives, with all our lives, with our best, we do not put anything more than God, and we begin with a new year of obedience to God alone. As King Nebuchadnezzar preached, only our Lord I bless you in the name of the Lord that your faith toward God will lead to the work of saving and evangelizing countless souls.
