Title: Let's Offer True Worship/Romans 12:1~2
Content Let's offer true worship/Romans 12:1~2
“Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship” (Romans 12:1-2).
Man was created to worship and worship God. Worship is, therefore, a reverent ceremony of our thanksgiving and worship to our Heavenly Father. Worship allows us to experience the living God and is also a barometer for measuring our spirituality. Worship is the most important thing that believers give to God. A person who worships well will live the best life with a heart of worship even in daily life. That's why Robert Morey said, "Worship is all about life."
So, what are the blessings we receive through worship? First of all, the preached word becomes the food of life for those who hear it. When we receive and eat the Word, we experience the Holy Spirit living and working in us. And through the Eucharist we experience the presence of Christ. Following the command of Jesus, in the whole process of commemorating and reproducing the events of His Passion, Death, and Resurrection, you will communicate with Jesus in your heart and experience comfort, healing, and peace.
Not only that, but through the Word and Sacraments, we too are endowed with the commands God has entrusted to Jesus Christ. It is then that we receive the power to walk the path of true mission. This is called the presence of God. The Old Testament prophet Ezekiel had a vision in which water would flow out of the temple to form a river of life. “Wherever this river goes, all living creatures will live, and there will be very many fish; and as this water flows in, the seas will revive, and everything that the river goes to will live” (Ezekiel 47:9). The words of this prophecy were fulfilled in Jesus.
Today, God's promises to those who worship true worship will be fulfilled without change. It is recorded that when Jesus died on the cross, water and blood flowed from His side. It means that the blood that forgives sins and the water that gives life flowed out of Jesus. The same is true when we gather in church to worship. The church is where you experience the forgiveness of sins and the fullness of life. Such experiences are the beginning of enjoying the blessings and grace of the Lord. Let us all become true sacrifices before God, offer true worship, and experience God's abundant grace and life.
