Let God please
(2012.02.19. Week) (Heb 11:6) (423/blacker than ink)
When a young child asks his parents for pocket money, you should also be aware.
After working outside all day, I barely fell asleep, but when I woke up in the middle of the night to ask for pocket money, I was only scolded, let alone pocket money.
After rubbing Mom's and Dad's shoulders a little bit, I swiped a 100-point test paper and asked for pocket money, how could they not give it to me?
A child who upsets his or her parents is a fool. - Children who please their parents are wise children.
Since God is the Lord of the universe and the Father of all mankind, those who provoke God are fools, and those who please God are wise.
We hope that the members of Kyungil Church will be those who please God - then I believe that God will love and bless you greatly - Please make God happy and bless you.
How can we please God?
1. Without faith, it is impossible to please God.
School violence is becoming a social problem these days. It is said that strong students bully weak students to run errands, steal money, and steal clothes.
I don't go to school, I don't study, I steal money, I use pocket money, and I steal clothes. - If I don't ask my parents for money, will my parents be happy? - If your parents knew that, they would lament, not rejoice.
*You can't please your parents the way you think - You have to know your parents' heart to make your parents happy.
*You cannot please God as you think - You must know what pleases God.
(11:6)-“Without faith it is impossible to please God...”
No matter how much money a child goes to school and no matter how much money he steals, no matter how good clothes are taken - that will only make his parents even more angry - a student must be diligent in school to make his parents happy.
* No matter how much money you have, if you do not have faith, God is not pleased.
* No matter how much knowledge you have, if you do not have faith, God is not pleased.
* No matter how great you are, if you do not have faith, God is not pleased.
* No matter how good you are from a family, if you do not have faith, God is not pleased.
(11:4) - "By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain, and he received evidence that he was righteous, for God testified of that gift. Although he died, by his faith he still speaks."
*Cain offered a sacrifice, but God did not accept it because it was a sacrifice without faith. Abel offered a sacrifice with faith, and God was pleased with it.
*Nothing pleases God except faith -
*King Saul had the most outstanding appearance and the greatest power of his day - but he was rejected because his faith was not recognized.
*Ishmael was the son of Abraham, and Esau was the son of Isaac - but even though he was a descendant of a good family, he was rejected because he did not have faith.
Only faith can please God - I pray that you please God with great faith.
2. You must believe in the existence of God to be pleased.
What should I believe? Can I just believe in anything and anything? - no.
God is pleased only when we know rightly and believe rightly.
(11:6) - "Without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."
You must believe that God exists. You must believe in God.
* 850 people with good faith gathered on Mount Carmel - They were people who zealously believed in Baal and Asherah as gods - No matter how good their faith was, they did not believe in God - They believed in vain things as gods, so God was not pleased with them died that day.
*There was Elijah the priest in the same place - Elijah was a believer who believed that only God was the true God - God was pleased with Elijah who believed in God and his sacrifice. Hallelujah!! - Amen??
*Communism, which believed that there was no God and that religion was a drug, was completely destroyed.
*Like the 850 on Mount Carmel, those who believe in anything other than God only offend God.
*If you were going to be your father and father to anyone - how angry would your real father be?
Just as there is only one Father - there is only one God.
*In the beginning, God is pleased only when we firmly believe that there is only one God who created the heavens and the earth and who protects us even now.
* I pray that you will please God with the faith that only God is the true God.
3. He is pleased with those who long to receive a reward from God.
You must believe in God, but you must know and believe well without misunderstanding.
God is not an incompetent God who can't even punish you. - Almighty God.
God is not an ignorant God who does not know even if he deceives and lies. - He is an omniscient God.
God is not a terrifying god who slanders like the ghosts of shamanism. - What kind of God is God?
(11:6) - "Without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."
God is a God of love. So He is a God who loves to reward.
Therefore, God is pleased with those who believe that God will reward them and long for the reward that He has prepared.
*Abraham and Lot longed for and looked at different things.
*Lot - He chose Sodom, thinking that the pleasures and splendor of the world were a blessing, but he fell miserably.
*However, Abraham - knowing that it is God who only rewards and blesses him, only looked for the reward that God would give him - and obeyed and followed him.
* The longing for a rich man and Lazarus was different.
* A foolish rich man thought that the wealth he had accumulated with his own hands was a blessing, and he lived without faith and went to hell.
*But Lazarus - even though the reality is poor - longed for the rewarder of God and lived by faith, so he received the eternal happiness of heaven.
*Moses was a representative person who looked only at the reward that God would give him.
(11:26) - “The humiliation received for the sake of Christ was regarded as greater riches than all the treasures of Egypt, for they looked to the reward.
Moses knew that it would be in vain if he did not receive the reward from God, even if he had the privilege of being an Egyptian prince and all the wealth of the royal family.
I knew that poverty and hardship would come if I gave up my privileges as a prince in Egypt and gave up my royal property - but I knew that God's rewards are more precious than all the wealth and glory I enjoy in a sinful world - I gave up on the worldly wealth and glory and hoped only for God's reward. Moses, who lived, became the greatest victor of faith.
*Dear saints, if you do not have faith, God is not pleased, and if you do not please God, you cannot receive a reward. - I pray that you please God with your faith and receive a reward.
*Looking at the reward that God has prepared to give only to those who please Him - I pray that you will believe in God and receive a precious reward.
