Title: Let's Raise Dreamers (Genesis 37:18-20)
Contents Window 37:18~20
In the old days, children and women who did not have a labor force and could not become soldiers were not included in the number of people. Strangely, even among the 5,000 people at the time of the miracle because of the five diseases of Jesus, they were not included in the number. It was like that in Korea, too, and children could not dare to participate where adults gathered. When the church came to Korea, the word children changed to children. And Jesus Himself highly valued children. Kids are tomorrow's masters.
Ⅰ, As we celebrate Children's Sunday today, let's ponder a few things about children's own mental attitudes and the attitudes of parents who are raising them.
① Children and adolescents
Don't forget that your life is your own. Heungdo and Mang are also self-responsibility. A bright tomorrow and a dark tomorrow are your responsibility. Living is a process of choosing one's own. Today is the result of yesterday and the cause of tomorrow. Don't blame anyone, blame. Make no excuses, the environment is difficult. The old people stepped on the adversity and left behind great things. The question is not the environment, but whether you have a dream in your heart or not. The Wright brothers, who dreamed of seeing birds flying in the sky, built an airplane. Steamships and locomotives were all created by people with dreams. What is your head thinking now, what is your heart's dream, it's over.
because! Necessity is the father of invention, and dreams are the father of reality.
② Parents who raise the masters of tomorrow
Don't take children too lightly. The hand that lifts the cloth is the hand that lifts the earth. Who knew that Samuel, who was growing up in the temple, would become a wealthy man, Moses of the reeds would become the savior of God's people, and Joseph, who was sold to Egypt, would become the chief father of God's people. That Moses, the Joseph, is growing up. Don't take it lightly, second, don't do it on the side of the Sunday students at church. Third, do not hate envy. They grow up watching and listening to the language and behavior of adults. Do not show lies, infidelity, exaggeration, injustice, or filthiness, it will ruin your children ruin the crest Ruin the nation and the nation.
II. Let's see the home atmosphere and the boy growing up there
① When there is a big event tomorrow, God sends a person to the earth to entrust the task. Joseph was such a person. Let's keep in mind that childbirth and nurturing of one life in a family is because there is tomorrow's work for that family, that church, and that nation and society.
② As mentioned above, let the precious life grow in an atmosphere where there is no favoritism, envy, hatred, or living in the family atmosphere.
③ Let's have a dream
Ⅲ. An exemplary family raised as a dreamer, the example of parents
① 1 Samuel 1:25-28 Samuel was raised as a praying mother and a person in a right relationship with God in a godly and holy temple. So Samuel fulfilled his lifelong mission as a man of prayer. ② Exodus 2:6-10 This is the case of Moses' mother. How could there be no blood and no spirit of patriotism in that dire situation where the children did not hear their mother's voice? Let's feed our children's patriots' tears and blood to make them grow. It is also the case of Joseph as a man of God ③ Genesis 37:10-11. In particular, when the story of a dream comes out, let's pay attention to the phrase, “My father put it in my heart.” Dreamers grow up under deeply affectionate, caring parents.
[Concluding remarks] A parent's mission does not end in a single moment, but it is a mission of love that I must continue until the day I die. Let's bear this solemn mission well with the spirit of sacrifice, on which the light and shade of tomorrow's people, one family, one church and one nation depend.
