Title [7.1] Let's raise the level of gratitude
Let's see the contents
(Daniel 6:4-10)
God's word to us today is the story of Daniel 6.
Daniel is a man who was taken into captivity in Babylon, but he is a man who has a wonderful experience of ascending to the position of prime minister of Babylon. On his way to the prime minister, Daniel was in jeopardy. Those who framed Daniel tried to find Daniel's loophole and push him into a corner. But Daniel was such a perfect man that there was no flaw in his abilities and character. However, the loophole found in the eyes of the scheming crowd was that Daniel prayed without falling for God, and using that as an excuse, he put Daniel into the lion's den. However, Daniel was still alive in the lions' den, and on the contrary, you can see that those who framed him went into the lions' den and were brutally killed. Then, what kind of man was Daniel, and why did God use him so wonderfully and beautifully?
First of all, in verse 3, it is written that Daniel was quick in heart. If you look at this word in other translations, it is said that “he had a wonderful spirit in his heart,” and this confession came from the mouth of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of the Gentiles.
In other words, Daniel was a man filled with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
Second, looking at verse 4, Daniel was a man who had no flaws or faults. That's why Bible scholars called Daniel the man of sammu.
Third, through verse 10, we can see that Daniel was a man who valued prayer more than his life. His prayer was a man who did not compromise in the face of threats and temptations and valued prayer more than life. He was a person who had a constitution in prayer and never gave up on beautiful fellowship with the Lord.
Fourth, he was a man who knew how to give thanks on a higher level, who did not give up thanks in the desperate situation Daniel was in.
Augustine said in 1 Corinthians 13:13, “Faith, hope, and love, three things will always be…” If I could say one more thing, it should add gratitude.
What are you giving thanks to God?
Do you live your life being grateful when things are going well, when you are healthy, when you have material abundance, and only when you meet good people? This kind of gratitude is one-dimensional gratitude that anyone can do. If I only give thanks like this, I can complain and curse God when I fail, lose my health, suffer material difficulties, and meet bad people.
When we think of gratitude, we see a condition called “what for what.” Giving thanks with conditions is not true gratitude. However, the tragedy of this age we live in today is that we have our unhappiness in forgetting even the one-dimensional gratitude that we need to be thankful for.
Everyone, what kind of environment has God given you?
When you are grateful for the environment you had, the environment changes and it is a blessing; when you have a heart of gratitude to your loving parents, you can become my parents , When I cherish my country and give thanks for living on this earth, this country becomes my homeland. is going to be Please believe that God becomes my God when you live in gratitude for the hand of God who is with you every step of the way.
When Daniel was taken captive by Babylon, all the people complained, but Daniel was thankful and did not give up on prayer. And when he got a high position and went well, he was framed and fell into the lion's den, but his gratitude continued.
I pray in the name of the Lord that you, who are living in this age, have the grace to experience the hand of God working in gratitude by imitating Daniel who never gave up the bond of absolute gratitude to God under any circumstances.
