(Give thanks in everything, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
There was a story like this in an article by a pastor.
During the Great Depression in the United States in the 1930s, there was a famous atheist known as Clarence Darrow. This man was a lawyer, but it is said that he became an atheist. As America faced the economic crisis, he saw a golden opportunity to assert his atheism. Every time he went around and gave lectures, he said, "Everyone, look at this age. If God lives, will you give us this difficult situation? We've lost everything. Just looking at this, it is clear that God does not exist."
One day, black people gathered together to give an atheistic lecture.
As he always did, "Everyone, we've lost everything. We've lost our dreams, we've lost our possessions, we've lost our songs. How can we sing in these circumstances?" As I shouted, suddenly an old woman raised her hand and said, "Doctor, I can sing." "No, how did we get to this point and we can sing?" ' said Dr. Daero, and the old woman exclaimed loudly, "We can sing because of Jesus."
Then, he starts arguing here and there with this old woman's words. "That's right" "Hallelujah is right" "It's because of Jesus". In one moment, that person
It is said that the crisis has changed.
Everyone!
Today we celebrate Thanksgiving Day.
It is because of Jesus that we have gratitude in our hearts even in the midst of suffering, adversity, and fatigue. Just as there is a song in the gospel hymn that says, "I love my brother because of Jesus, I love you because of Jesus," we can be thankful for Jesus.
Jesus who gave up the glory of heaven and came to this earth to save me!
Christ Jesus, who died and rose for me!
I can be thankful for Christ Jesus, who is still with me by the Holy Spirit.
There is a phrase like this in the book 'Happy Day' by Barnette Gibson.
"How much you hold in the palm of your lucky hand has nothing to do with your happiness. If you do not have a grateful thought in your heart, you are in the oars of ruin. Please, I beg you, learn how to be grateful before any other studies. Learn. When you master the art of gratitude, you will only find happiness."
There are things that a person loses sometimes in life.
If it is an object, you can get it back, but if you lose your mind, it is very difficult to get it back. In particular, if you lose your gratitude, your rhythm of life will be disrupted in every way.
Gratitude is the most precious thing in our life.
1. What are the characteristics of the fallen human figure? lost gratitude.
Since the introduction of sin, the relationship between each other became estranged, and as the responsibility was shifted to the other party, the feeling of gratitude disappeared.
In the end, there was a bloody murder between the brothers, and the blood continues to this day. Bloodshed is still going on around the world.
This is what a fallen man looks like.
One of the hallmarks of fallen human beings is a life without gratitude.
Only those who win in a competitive society are intoxicated with a sense of victory, and lack of gratitude.
Please see all media and entertainment programs.
Entertainment and violence are rampant to make you laugh rather than thank you to impress.
What will children who grow up watching it learn? It can only be worrying.
It is the older generation who have created this image of society today.
Efforts to overcome poverty were good, but there was only an obsession that came from trying to get ahead of others.
Because gratitude was lost, only extreme selfishness remained.
This is also evident in the phenomena of churches today.
It is only for my church, and it is only the pride of our church.
Even volunteer work was often done in a competitive spirit rather than a grateful heart.
Even in the personal lives of the saints, they prayed for what others did not have, rather than giving thanks to God.
How wrong these are! We must reflect deeply.
2. It is said that thanksgiving is God's will for the saints.
“In everything give thanks, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
Originally, God gave <free will> to give thanks when creating human beings.
Gratitude is not something that is forced.
Being able to be grateful means that much maturity.
When I was young, I didn't know what gratitude was.
But as they grow older, they develop an appreciation for their parents, teachers, and neighbors.
God wants us to live in gratitude for the saints.
He said that was the original will of God.
Complaining, rebellion, and hatred are from the devil.
Just as a fallen angel became Satan, Satan is always unthankful.
They separate each other and shift responsibility.
And it leads to pride and pride.
God's will is peace for all people.
He said that the peacemakers would be called the sons of God.
Therefore, the work of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, and peace.
Love, joy, and peace come from a grateful heart.
Therefore, it is God's will to live with thanksgiving.
We cannot live against the will of God.
3. Therefore, everything should be the condition for gratitude.
① First of all, our members should give thanks for the grace of salvation.
This is because if you gain the whole world and are not saved, you will end up in death.
If you live without knowing the truth of eternal life, your life will be in vain.
Therefore, we should give thanks for being a child of God.
How dare we who were sinners call God our Father?
The more I think about it, the more grateful I am.
② We should be thankful for living every day with God's protection.
We should be thankful for God's grace for keeping us healthy over the past year.
We should be grateful for the grace that has taken care of our family over the past year.
③ We have faith and hope that we can depend on God even though we are in the midst of refinement
We should be grateful for continuing the line of love with
④ In particular, our nation and nation should maintain this much even in many opaque environments.
We should be thankful for God's grace.
⑤ And we should be thankful for the help of the Holy Spirit who makes it possible to pray.
① He made martyred children come out of the bloodline of a sinner like me.
It's a bad thing
② Among the many saints, how could the Lord have given these treasures?
I am also grateful that you entrusted it to me.
③ I am grateful for the blessing of dedicating my two most beautiful sons, the eldest and the second, among 3 boys and 3 girls.
④ It is said that the martyrdom of one son is precious, how much more the martyrdom of two sons.
⑤ It is said that it is a great blessing to lie down and die believing in Jesus. How much less will he be shot and martyred while preaching, thank God.
⑥ My son, who was preparing to go to study in the United States, went to a better heaven than the United States, so my heart was relieved and I thank God.
my love
to repent of the enemy who shot the two sons and give him the heart of love to make him my son.
Thank God God,
⑧ I believe that there will be countless sons in the kingdom of heaven because of the martyrdom of my two sons. Thank God.
⑨ We thank our Lord Jesus Christ for giving us the above eight truths, a joyful heart and ample faith to find the love of God in the midst of such adversity.
If this is not gratitude in all things, what would it be?
Gratitude changes our lives.
It turns misery into happiness and despair and frustration into hope. Gratitude opens up new perspectives on life, like a light in darkness.
We must restore gratitude through faith.
We need to recover the lost gratitude.
An American young man was amputated in a car accident.
For a while after losing my leg, everything was resentful. After a while, the eyes of the heart toward God were opened by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
Obviously, I felt that there was a great providence of God. This young man later became a missionary and went to Africa. The village was inhabited by cannibals. Seeing the missionaries, they tried to catch good prey.
Then this missionary removed his prosthetic leg. A cannibal said he was handsome and bit his leg with his mouth.
At that moment, the teeth came out with a rumble.
Then the cannibals knelt in front of the missionary, trembling that God had come down. For that reason, on the contrary, missionaries are said to have succeeded in preaching the gospel to them.
Who knew that the prosthetic leg, a target of resentment, would later become a life-saving tool!
We cannot fully understand God's grand plan during our brief suffering.
If a mature person had entered, it would have ended with their food.
God's providence works beyond human intellect.
Dear saints,
He said that the suffering you are experiencing now cannot be compared with the glory that will be revealed.
We must have the eyes of faith open to see the providence of God in the midst of suffering.
We need to see the wonderful providence of God using Joseph as the prime minister of Egypt after the training.
Are there any saints in suffering?
Let's be thankful for everything.
May we all have a day of regaining the gratitude we have lost. ♣
