Title: Let's Restore Faith/Hebrews 11:1~2
Let's restore faith/Hebrews 11:1~2
Key Verse: “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1).
Word: I deal with foreigners a lot because I am pastoring in New York, USA. Not to mention their lifestyle, values, and customs, their relationships are also different from country to country.
However, Koreans think that Chinese people are very suspicious. However, we are the nation with many doubts. There are many doubts about Chinese people being called bastards, but Chinese people risk their lives once they believe in them.
People all over the world know the phrase “quickly, quickly,” which is often used by Koreans. I think it's because I'm in a hurry, but it's not. This, too, comes from suspicion. I think it's because I have to act quickly because I doubt it, and it's because I don't believe it. When you buy things for each ethnic group, your personality is clearly visible.
The French ask, "Is this the latest version?" and the Germans ask, "Is this sturdy?" The Chinese say, "Isn't there anything cheaper than this?" Koreans ask, “Is this real?”
It's really sad. The part that our nation needs to recover is the part called ‘faith’. So, who should feel the greatest responsibility for the mission of restoring this part of faith? Not a politician. Not even an educator. In other words, we need to recover from the person who uses the word faith the most.
Faith is the word most used by Christians. Because faith begins with faith. Therefore, we have a mission to be responsible for our faith. This faith, of course, begins with faith with God. Without faith you cannot come to God.
Then how can faith be restored? First, you need to know what faith is. A simple, implied answer is, ‘Who am I?’ This is faith. Faith does not depend on who prays long or who is good at giving, but it is about quickly discovering oneself before God. That is, finding my place. In other words, if you know who you are and how you should live, you are a believer.
We must not lead the fight of faith into the battle of gifts. We must not lead the fight of faith to the testimony of experiencing miracles. Don't compare the depth of your faith to the length of your church attendance. A person who has faith has a clean mirror, and he who always looks at himself is a person of faith. It is only when such people exist that faith can be restored in society. Faith is God's gift to those who have such struggles.
Prayer: God, help us check our seats. So let me have the right faith. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
