Title: Let's restore our hearts

Let's get our heart back
Text: Revelation 2:1-7
“But I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Therefore remember where you have fallen, repent and do the first works” (Revelation 2:4).
Once upon a time, there was a man who overcame poverty and hardship and rose to the position of prime minister through hard work. From the moment he became prime minister, he started acting strange every day. It was to wake up early in the morning and move the heavy tile from the yard to the back yard and put it back up in the evening. A friend who happened to see such a spectacle asked, bewildered. “No, what kind of daytime goblin is this? I heard that the tile tile is moved to the backyard at dawn and then moved back to the yard in the evening to build it. What is the reason?” At those words, the Prime Minister said in a quiet but powerful voice, "I intend to do this hard work so that I can vividly remember my difficult times. If it is to the point that I become indolent only in the present comfortable life, let alone the politics of worrying about the future of the country. What can we do? The ruin comes not from a lack of knowledge or experience, but because of the hardships of the past and the forgetting of the attitude of that time."
In the book of Hebrews it is said: "Pay attention to the end of our deeds... (Hebrews 13:7) It is not important how well we say or show good behavior at the beginning, but it is only the end that we will know. It is said that it is important to keep to the end.
“Are you so foolish? have you begun with the Spirit and now finish with the flesh?” (Galatians 3:3)
In order for our lives not to be the main evangelism, first, don't be afraid to be forgotten. Second, go back to where you started. Third, go back to when you were nothing, when you were a rookie.
Fourth, keep in mind that you are always a rookie. Fifth, you will be so conscious of others that you will grieve not to live your own life. Even if you are a beginner in driving, there are no major accidents. If you always maintain the attitude of a beginner, there is no mistake. Whenever you go back to the beginning, you will see a way. When you go back to where you started, you can start over.
“For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, to whom the Lord is praised forever. Amen” (Romans 1:25)
When a farmer opened his mouth, he boasted that he believed in God well. This farmer was raising cattle, and one day he prayed to God like this. “God, if you give me twin calves this time, I will definitely give you one of them.” Then the prayer was answered, and twins of fraternal calves came out. One was a yellow calf and the other was a speckled calf. Then the farmer's heart ceased to be greedy. One day while he was delaying his promise to give God a calf, the yellow calf died. Then the farmer sighed and said: “Ah, the calf of God must have died… . I was going to give a yellow calf to God... .”
We, the saints, should not give up their hearts at first like this farmer. The first heart is the heart of God. We must keep our first mind and live.
It's easy for people to lose their minds at first when they get rich or face difficulties. But, saints, let's go back to when we first had faith. Let's go back to the time when we decided to live only for Jesus, to the time when we had unspoiled and pure faith, to the time when we shed tears of repentance and were moved by the grace of the Lord and offered prayers and praises of thanks. And now, let's all live our lives faithfully to the Lord with the first love with a new resolution.
* Prayer: Loving Lord, restore the warmth of our first faith. Let me live with you today and live a victorious life in the Lord. So, even though it is small, I may fulfill my mission as a light in this dark world and live a life that glorifies God. In the name of Jesus who saved us, we pray. Amen
