Title: Let's Serve God.
Let's serve God.
Wed 24:13~15
Today we live in a very good world.
Everyone has a cell phone.
I travel all over the world on the Internet.
Most families own a car.
Now is the time when we eat too much and harm our health.
to be healthy
1) absolutely news
2) Drink 8 glasses of warm water
3) Eat a "diabetic diet" for anyone
4) Exercise moderately
Who is it that enjoys living with this much health?
Everyone, who do you think is the reason we are living like this today?
* Yehwa) This is a story I heard while visiting the room.
1) Pastor, I live because of dogs.
2) Pastor, I live because of my ancestors.
3) Pastor, I live by my own strength.
We must not forget that all circumstances and circumstances are thanks to God who has taken care of us so that we can live well. Therefore, from now on, we must realize that the attitude we take to live is a very important issue.

How are human beings different before and after the Fall? Before man became corrupted, defiled, and decayed because of sin, what was his true form when God first created him? It was probably really clean and everything was fine. For comfort, they would have enjoyed peace by sharing warm love with their neighbors while serving only God with sincerity.
But when man fell, all relationships fell apart. Order is broken and chaos has come. So the world has become lawless.
Humans turned their backs on their Creator, God, and made and worshiped idols themselves. My greed to make even a penny or even one of my own has ruined my relationship with my neighbors irrevocably.

After many twists and turns, with God's grace and guidance, the people of Israel entered the land of Canaan (the land of blessing flowing with milk and honey) that the people of Israel had so dreamed of. The long life in the wilderness and the long war with the natives of Canaan, a dream that would not have been possible without God's grace and help, has come true.
Joshua had now finished distributing the land to each tribe and gathered all the tribesmen.
And he said to the people, groping the past of his people.
Abraham's first time serving God
In the days of Jacob, he went down to Egypt to be a slave, and Moses brought him out of Egypt.
He told the story of wandering and wandering in the wilderness for 40 years.
And Joshua says: Now, we are finally able to enter the land of Canaan, flowing with milk and honey, which we have longed for, but the problem is that from now on.
In order to live forever in Canaan with Jehovah God's help, he said strongly that we must serve God rightly.

We must first understand the meaning of the words to believe and to serve.
1) To believe: trust, accept, belief / may be superficial in some ways. Only with the mouth~~~ We believe with our hearts and our mouths.
2) Meaning of serving: Respect. / Faith to do our best. It is faith in action, and the word leads to life.
Serving doesn't just happen. It is a faith that dedicates body, mind, time, material things, wisdom, knowledge, skills, talents, everything to God.
Believing is a bit weak. I feel passive. We must serve God.
In the past, all great men of faith such as Abraham, King Solomon, and Joseph served God. I couldn't believe it with my mouth.

[Joshua 24:15] “If it does not seem good to you to serve the Lord, choose today whom you will serve, whether it is the god your ancestors served beyond the river, or the god of the Amorites in the land in which you live. I will serve the Lord.” Joshua declares to the wandering Israelites that God is the only object of their faith.
Specifically, what does it mean to say, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”?
First of all, it means ‘I will throw away my idols’. It is to throw away the old life of the past, the life of old habits.
The people of Israel have idols that need to be liquidated from the past.
First, the idols and pagan beliefs that must be liquidated are the gods of the land across the river, that is, the land of Haran beyond the Euphrates River where Abraham’s ancestors lived (Joshua 24:14).
Second, although they were slaves, they were the gods who served in Egypt when they lived next to the meat kilns of Pharaoh's house in Egypt.
Third, it is the religion of Baal worship that is worshiped by the Amorites living alone in Canaan, Palestine (Joshua 24: 14-15).
This is a religion of relief centered on family lineage, as Rachel, the gods of Haran, Mesopotamia, fled from Laban's house and ran away from her home, and was told by 'Teraphim', the guardian of the family (Genesis 31:19).
The religion of Pharaoh's house in Egypt is a religion of political power worship in which Pharaoh is worshiped as a god while constructing a huge pyramid, and the strong dominates the weak with a whip (Exodus 1:1-22).
The religion of the Canaanite Amorites is the Baal religion of prosperity and fertility, symbolized by the 'golden calf'.
He urged the people, ‘Are you going to live serving God rightly?’ or ‘Will you serve other gods?’ That they must choose between the two [Joshua 24:15].

Do you have no problem serving God by throwing away what you need to pay off and paying off what you need to pay off while serving God?
* Example)
1) Butler's new point~~~
2) Even if you do well in your life of faith, you cannot let go of one good personality.
3) The ordained deacon slaps his wife in the face as she comes out of worship.
4) Master Kwon drove out his father-in-law and treated him badly, and the butler woman abandoned her old mother at Namdaemun Market.
………………………………………………………………………… ………………………………………………………………………… …………………………………………………………………………
Then who is God?
1) He is holy and good.
2) Almighty and omnipresent.
3) He is righteous and He is the Judge of all things.
4) He is the one who knows our weaknesses, heals us, and is with us.
* Example)
1) Time magazine news in the US ~~ It was a content that the technology to find, record, record, and play back my words and actions in the past was in the realization stage.
2) The sin of desecrating the temple of God
3) Let your asshole rot.
4) Taeha Woo, the God of Dermatology
…………………………………………………………………………………………………… …………………………………………………………………………………………………… …………………………………………………………………………
Mark 10:45 “For the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Jesus also came to serve God above and sinners below.
* Example) Saint Gandhi of India said this. “I believe in God. But Christians hate it.” When Gandhi was studying in the UK, he was evangelized by a friend from law school and on the first Sunday he went to worship, he was kicked out of the chapel because he was a person of color.
Serving is devotion, and devotion is service. Serving is life saving.
* Ex) What is the meaning of living? It is the opposite of “kill.” A woman gets married and buys a house.
The 24th chapter of Joshua we read today is the last chapter. This is the chapter where Joshua dies.
On the eve of his death, Joshua summons the Israelites and gives them the last word that is like a will.
[Joshua 24:15] “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Serving is devotion and living.
This is why we come to church and live by faith.
We pray in the name of the Lord that we all live a blessed life of serving with God's grace and help.
