Title: Let's start with a new dream.

Let's start with a new dream.
Psalm 126:1-6
There is a famous bridge called the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, USA.
The Golden Gate Bridge was built in an area where the water is deep and swarming with sharks, so even 100 years ago, it seemed almost impossible to build a bridge there.
However, a young architect was convinced that a bridge could be built here and designed a new construction method to build it, but no one believed it was possible.
However, a banker who was a prominent figure in the area at the time gave the young man money to build a bridge.
Without these two, the world-famous Golden Gate Bridge today would not have been built forever.
So there is an inscription commemorating the merits of these two men, which probably means <people of dreams> and <people of dreams>.
And there is a large park next to this bridge, called Golden Gate Park.
It has now been established as a beautiful park where deer as well as bears appear because of the thick trees.
But if you go to the park museum, you can easily see that it was a sand dune 100 years ago.
There are still pictures of people working on the landscaping with the determination of the sweat and effort of the people who pioneered this place.
Although they did not see or enjoy the beauty of the park, they planted a future by planting a tree in the sandy desert. Again, this can be seen as the virtue of people of vision.
People who plant dreams! These people are the people of the vision.
People with that vision are people of faith.
1. God has given us as a gift the faith of certainty over the ability to think.
That is why he said, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
What do we believers want? It is the kingdom of God.
No matter how dark the world is and no matter how chaotic society is with sin, there can be no discouragement for people of faith.
Those are the facts already proven by the characters of the Bible, and with this faith Daniel and his three friends overcame the times of despair.
During the reign of King Darius, they overcame the era in which they could survive only by bowing down to idols with their faith.
Even Joseph was not discouraged even on the downhill road of his life, and even though he was sold as a slave without sin, and passed as a helpless personal servant in a distant foreign land, Egypt, and even though he was imprisoned under false accusations, he believed that God was with him. I wasn't discouraged or desperate.
And he was convinced that his dream would come true.
Even if our reality today is heavy and dark, we must become believers who live by believing in God's providence of history to be sure of the future.
We must be sure of that and welcome the new year.
2. He said that there must be an effort to sow seeds for that.
The text says, “He who sows weeping will reap an altar with joy.” The meaning of sowing weeping means efforts to overcome the challenges of hardship in reality.
There are two attitudes towards passing time, one is a life driven by time, and the other is a life that pays for time and makes it your own.
It means a life where you make every day your own time.
There are people who live the same day and get tired of it, while there are people who regret that every day is the same. It means making time as their own.
Anyone who can make time mine must have great determination and perseverance.
The truth is that those who sow while weeping will reap with joy.
50 years ago, there was a saying in Korea called barley hill, but our parents who lived in that era had the wisdom to sow seeds in the spring even if they had to die of starvation.
We need to understand these words with such a social background.
It means that the harvest of joy will eventually be reaped to those who survived the pain of winter by protecting the seeds in the midst of hunger and suffering. How desperate is this?
Therefore, we need patience in our life of faith.
Living according to God's word, we live in a world with many difficulties.
If you exchange this word, the seed of life, with the red bean porridge of the world and eat it, that's the end of it.
However, if you cry and grab a hungry intestine and leave seeds and sow them, you will reap a harvest of joy. If you obey the Word, you will eventually reap a bountiful harvest.
People with a vision are those who sow with tears.
As I said above, people who live with the conviction that they will plant trees in the desert and build a bridge over the sea teeming with sharks have done it at the cost of 80 people.
With this vision, we must endure the pain of tears of reality.
There is no future for those who live in complacency while looking at the immediate profit.
It is no coincidence that the United States has become such a prosperous country today and a wealthy country that can feed the world.
Riverside Church in New York City Nestled on a river hill overlooking the Hudson River, this large church is over 80 stories high, and the founder of this church is <Rockefeller> as you know it well.
As for how he was able to build such a large church, the reason is simple.
You can find it right in his account book.
The first entry in his account book begins with a $1 income followed by a fifty-cent tithing offering.
And his account book remains exactly where he counted his tithing.
As a result, he became a world rich man.
Everyone!
I hope you do not worry and worry all night because of small greed, but pray with a big vision.
For he who sows weeping will reap the sheaf with joy.
These are not the words of man, but the words of God's promise.
3. So, should we have this kind of dream in 2010?
1. First, in the new year, we must have a dream of thinking about God's righteousness first.
Jesus said in Matthew 6:33, "Seek therefore first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
We must pray and work hard so that God's righteousness is not pushed to the fringes of the world.
If God's righteousness is pushed aside by the world, there will be no peace in our homes or society.
There are conflicts, fights, hatreds, terrorism, and strife, but there is no peace.
Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the world; if salt loses its taste, with what is it salted?
This is a dream that not only us believers but also all churches and all believers in God should have and practice.
2010 should be the year in which God's righteousness becomes the center of the world and dreams come true.
2. We had to have the dream of revival as a church.
This year, the church will be relocated to a new location, so there is a history of revival there, so we should pray like a dream that the seats we have prepared will be filled so that there are no vacancies.
Acts 2:1 When the day of Pentecost had come, and they were all gathered together in one place, 2 suddenly there came a sound from heaven like a rushing strong wind, and filled the whole house where they were sitting, and they saw them splitting like tongues of fire, one upon each of them. Then they all were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages as the Holy Spirit gave them permission to speak. Our church became a place where the Holy Spirit came, and prayers were revived and ignited, and the gifts were carried out, putting love into Jesus and evangelism. We must have a dream to become a historic church that opens its doors.
Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me; therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and of all that I have commanded you. Teach them to keep them. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the world.
This is not a small dream, but a big dream, and a new history will begin.
Because the mind of the Holy Spirit is different from the mind of the flesh.
3. Personally, I hope you have a dream that your health and work will be accomplished through God's grace and blessing
As we have always heard, the Word of God should be the center of our lives.
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. I beg you, these two verses are the words of blessing given when the Word of God becomes the center of your life.
2010 should be the year in which God's Word becomes the center of our lives and our dreams come true.
Dear saints,
Now, we must shake off all the remnants of the old years and sow the seeds of pursuing God's righteousness with a dream of achieving great achievements with tears.
If we do that, we believe that the next thing God will give us as a harvest.
May God's new blessings of grace overflow upon you.
