Title: Let's Strive for Spiritual Maturity
Contents
Let's strive for spiritual maturity (1 Timothy 4:12-16)
1. Jesus wants us to live an “average life”.
(1) Panic Disorder
(2) We must raise the standard of life.
2. Christians should seek maturity in their faith.
(1) We must show spiritual maturity to all people (verse 15).
Leadership is also an element of spiritual maturity (verse 12). A spiritually mature person should have a precious appreciation for his office (verse 14). You have to work hard to show people that you are making progress in various fields (verse 16).
(2) Where there are no difficulties, there is no grace of maturity. The reason God allows us Christians to suffer is so that our faith may mature.
3. You must try new changes.
(1) There is no change in the old mind. Therefore, you must be willing to pay the price for new change.
(2) A change takes place in the new heart. It doesn't matter who he was, it matters who he met. The question is 'Am I really eager for change?'
4. Faith is required for spiritual maturity.
(1) Belief that it must change
(2) Belief that “I will definitely change it”
⑶ Belief that “I can change too”
⑷ Belief that “the Lord will help you”
5. How can we achieve spiritual growth?
(1) We must long for and accept the Word of God.
(2) We must long for the Holy Spirit.
⑶Things that hinder spiritual maturity must be removed (1 Peter 2:1, 1 Timothy 6:10, Luke 6:38).
What is important is constant spiritual maturity.
My standard of living is improving, and fundamental changes in myself continue to take place. The Lord wants us to be above average. You want to be better than you are now. You want to be renewed every day. In order to do that, you have to work hard. We must long for the Word of God, long for the Holy Spirit, and remove things that hinder our faith. Then you will become spiritually mature.
