Title: Let's Trust God / [Hebrews 10:38 ..

Content Even if you have faith in God, the faith of all believers is not the same in depth. Even believers who believe in God can have a marked difference in the depth of their faith. Depth of faith is usually measured and grasped as the degree of faith training, Bible knowledge, or volunteer work, but not necessarily proportional to it. The depth of faith can be judged by how a person responds to temptation, tribulation, temptation, and persecution. The reason that a person with a long history of faith can be said to have a relatively deep faith is because the long years he has been through means that he has overcame various trials and tribulations. But there will be times when there have been no trials and tribulations for a long time. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the ups and downs of life that the person actually went through. We believe in God, but we must have deep faith. You must have unwavering faith in any situation.

So today, let's look at deep faith.

First, we must fully understand what faith means.

Faith is more than intellectual consent. Faith must mean trust. Often, belief is mistaken for the same thing as intellectual consent. Let's use an analogy to explain the difference between intellectual consent and trust. Consider the case of a parachute and fall directly into the air. You will believe in the safety of your parachute. Because I've seen them fall successfully over and over again. But if you ask if you can actually jump out of a plane with a parachute, very few of you are willing to answer. If so, that belief is nothing more than intellectual assent. Not because of distrust of the parachute, but because he lacks the courage to surrender himself to it. What is trust? It means trusting and letting go. If we say we believe in God and do not actually surrender it to God, we cannot call that faith deep faith.

Second, we must trust God.

Trusting God means, in other words, trusting and relying on God's attributes. Just as the light and heat of the sun let us know the existence of the sun and enjoy its benefits, the attributes of God let us know who God is and enjoy the graces.

And God is just. Psalm 9:8 says, “He will judge the world with righteousness; he will judge the peoples with uprightness.” A just God always gives fair rewards and punishments. Those who do not believe in Jesus Christ will go before the great white throne and be thrown into the lake of fire. On the other hand, those who believe in Jesus Christ, have their sins forgiven, and receive God's righteousness will receive a higher judgment. “Behold, I am coming soon, and my reward is with me, to repay each one according to what he has done” (Revelation 22:12). Therefore, those who trust in the God of justice will silently strive for good works and work on the Lord's work. Because we know the reward of the Lord God.

And God is faithful. God's faithfulness is evidenced through the fulfillment of his covenant word. None of the prophecies of the Bible have been found unfulfilled and false. Above all, the covenant to Jesus Christ was fulfilled as prophesied. The prophecies concerning the birth, life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ were literally fulfilled. The Second Coming of Jesus Christ will surely happen. In Matthew 24:35 it is said, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away." In James 1:17, it says, "He does not change, nor does the shadow of turning pass away." Therefore, those who trust in God's faithfulness can endure to the end with hope. “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest, if we are not weary” (Galatians 6:9).

And God is omnipotent. There is nothing that God cannot do. God can do anything that does not go against his nature. Then why is evil being done in this world? Could it be that Almighty God cannot forbid this? You just need to know that these things are within the limits and time limits set and allowed by God. Eventually, the evil devil will be thrown into the lake burning with fire and brimstone forever. And when the kingdom of the Lord comes, there will be no more evil and no more sin. God's omnipotence works in his will and providence. With his creative power, God can transform the chaos, emptiness, and darkness that come into our lives into order and harmony, wealth and fullness, and light and beauty. We can transform defeat into victory, failure into success, and despair into hope. Therefore, those who trust in the power of God will live with a positive and courageous attitude.

And God is omnipresent. God is not limited by time and space. You are always everywhere. The immensity of God is the reality of God in relation to space, and the omnipresence is the reality of God in relation to creation. And in the relationship with the saints, He allows us to experience a special presence. He comes as the Holy Spirit to teach, guide, help, comfort, and heal us. A person who trusts in God's presence is not left out and is not alone, anywhere, in any situation. You will enjoy spiritual comfort and joy in communion with the Lord God.

Third, let us learn a lesson by examining the characters recorded in the Bible about those who said they believed in God but did not trust them and those who completely trusted them.

You can compare Moses with the children of Israel who left Egypt and went to Canaan. Even though the children of Israel said they believed in God, when they were in trouble, they acted like unbelievers. It is not that they did not believe in the existence of God. They did not trust in God's love, faithfulness, power, and presence. I couldn't give myself up to God. Therefore, when faced with difficulties, he did not stop complaining and complaining to God.

But Moses not only believed in the existence of God, but also in God's love, justice, faithfulness, power, and presence. Even if the front and back sides were blocked, he did not become discouraged and did not complain. He prayed to God. And as we boldly followed God's instructions, the road to the Red Sea was opened before him. Even in the wilderness, daily bread was prepared. Water overflowed from the rock. Amalek was completely defeated before him. No one could stop it. So Moses became the greatest leader in history.

Dear brothers and sisters, believe in God but have deep faith. Let's have faith that does not waver under any circumstances, faith that does not lose heart, faith that does not retreat, and faith that does not grumble against God. Trust God. Trust in God's love, in God's justice, in God's faithfulness, in God's power, and in God's presence. We must not stop at intellectual agreement on the attributes of God, but go to trust and trust. So, may God's love, justice, faithfulness, power, and presence bear fruit in your lives in countless, blessed and glorious experiences, in the name of Jesus Christ.
