As a person goes through life, there are times when he becomes tired physically and spiritually. In such a case, the best way to relieve fatigue is undoubtedly to sleep. So when a person is spiritually and physically tired, perhaps the doctors put him to sleep.
When Elijah in 1 Kings 19 was also spiritually exhausted, the first thing God did to Elijah was to put him to sleep. Psalm 127:2 says, “God gives sleep to those he loves.” However, as the Bible says today, it does not always make you sleep. As the Bible says today, there are times when we need to wake up to sleep.
In the parable of the ten virgins in Matthew 25, the five wise virgins prepared themselves for the bridegroom before they slept. But the five foolish virgins tried to prepare after sleeping, but could not meet the bridegroom. Sometimes sleep like this makes us miss something important. That is why 1 Peter 4:7 and 5:3 says, “Be sober. wake up Calm down. And pray. The devil is like a roaring lion, looking everywhere for someone to devour.”
Dear saints, today we must be spiritually awake. The Old Testament prophets we know well shouted unanimously, “Present worship properly. Wake up and worship Calm down and worship.” This was the heart of the prophets' message. There is nothing as important as worship, but I hope you will wake up spiritually and worship before God during this time.
If you are spiritually asleep, you will not be able to hear God's voice in the first place. As you well know, in 1 Samuel 3, there was Eli the priest and young Samuel in the holy place called Shiloh. But it was young Samuel who could hear God's voice. I pray in the name of the Lord that God's voice will be heard in your hearts as we worship in the temple at this time.
Also, if you are spiritually asleep, you cannot know how the world is changing right now. We refer to the Middle Ages as the Dark Ages. But the Middle Ages was an age when a new world opened up, not a dark age. But why is it called the Dark Ages because the church was in darkness. The world is changing rapidly, with the discovery of new lands and the emergence of the heliocentric theory. It was a time when the Vatican was corrupt and tried to seize power. Even three popes appeared and the battle of power to seize hegemony was in the Middle Ages. Because I was sleeping in the dark, I could not know about the sudden change in the world, and I could not prepare for it.
If we who believe are not spiritually awake, it is of no use like salt that has lost its taste. We believe that we who worship at this hour today must be spiritually awake to hear God's voice and experience God's work with our own eyes.
Also, those who are spiritually asleep do not know what is important now. When Jesus was born, the magi saw the star and came to Bethlehem to worship Him. But at that time, the scribes, high priests, and so-called religious leaders knew in advance that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem. I also learned that Jesus was born. But they ended up knowing. Those who are spiritually awake know exactly what we must do today. Spiritual sleepers are people who do not do the important things and are busy wandering around the unimportant things.
From the moment we wake up spiritually today and receive the light of heaven as the Bible says today, we believe that we will put off the work of darkness and move on to the path of light where the bright light shines. God does not remember the dark things of our past. Now, he is remembering the life of light that hears the voice of God and walks on the path of light. The fact is that our descendants will not remember the dark side of our father, but the bright side of our father and mother, and will receive a decision and a lesson to say, 'I must live like my father and mother.'
Please remember that this is the time when I worship and this is the time to be spiritually awake and listen to God's voice. That is why we pray in the name of the Lord that our Hanshin Church worship will be spiritually awake worship, worship that listens to God's voice, and worship that is empowered by the word, repentance, and so on, that all members of the Hanshin Church will rise and shine.
