Title: Let's walk by faith/James 2:26
Let us act according to our faith / James 2:26
“As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead” (James 2:26).
Living faith, like the illustration, does not end with only doctrinal knowledge or understanding, but it is always followed by devotion, service, good deeds and acts of service.
There are two kinds of faith. There is a dead faith. The Bible says, “As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead” (verse 26). If works are absent from the life of faith, it will soon become a dead faith. Just as the soul becomes a dead person when the soul escapes from a living person.
A living faith is a faith in action. How can dead faith be revived? How can we avoid degenerating into dead faith? The answer is one, simple. You just need to put your faith into action. Then, how should we act with living faith? First, we must do good. Practice love. Second, obey God. Doing what God tells you to do. Like Abraham, if he sacrificed his son, he would give it, and like Rahab, if he hid the spies according to what he realized, that's what it is. Third, serve. It's about taking care of our neighbors and taking care of their needs. All actions to love the soul and to save the loved soul are the most valuable and holy work of God.
Are you saying that you believe in yourself, but do you not remain in faith without works? We want you to be the ones who testify of faith through works and show living faith.
Prayer: Heavenly Father! Help me to become a saint who has a living faith who does good, obeys, and serves, rather than a dead faith that speaks and does not act. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
