Title: Life's vitality/2 Samuel 23:1-7
Contents Life's vitality/2 Samuel 23:1~7
Key Verse: “Is not my house like this before God? God made an everlasting covenant with me, and he has provided and established it in all things. How will he not fulfill all my salvation and all my desires?” (2 Samuel 23:5)
When I was young, when I lived in the countryside, there was a heavenly answer in our house. Cheonsu-dap is paddy field that cannot be farmed unless it rains from the sky because it does not receive water from the reservoir.
One year, when there was a severe drought, I went with my mother to Cheonsu-dap. The paddy fields were cracked like turtle backs, and the planted rice floated like yellow maple leaves in autumn.
Seeing this, my mother sighed and prayed, “God, let it rain.” A few days later, a cloud suddenly covered the sun, and lightning struck and it began to rain.
My brothers went to the army, so I grabbed a shovel and ran to the rice field. This was to allow water to enter the rice fields. A few days later, I went back to the paddy field and found that the yellow rice had gained new strength and was growing well. For the withering rice, water is vitality.
So are people. There are many times when I feel weak, discouraged, and frustrated. At that time, only when there is a vital force can we live the world vigorously again.
Today's text is David's official final message. Introducing David himself, the son of humble Jesse. Just as the clear, clean air and clear weather in the morning refresh the mind, we express Jesus as a cloudless morning. We, who have been redeemed through Jesus, can gain spiritual vitality through Jesus.
Through the work of the Holy Spirit, you will meet a spiritual vitality. Whenever we encounter difficult and difficult things, we gain new strength with the help of the Holy Spirit. Today, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will meet the spiritual vitality to gain new strength and lead a victorious life.
Prayer: Lord of love, just as you granted spiritual grace to David, through Jesus, give us spiritual vitality and victory. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
