Title: Life from God's Perspective
Text: Luke 16:10
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you draw a picture of life? It is the view of life you have in your head, whether consciously or unconsciously. Our view of life shapes our lives. People express how they live their lives through clothes, accessories, cars, hair styles, stickers, etc. Our views affect how we spend our time, how we spend our money, how we use our talents, and how much we value relationships.
The life you have within you has a greater impact on your life than you think, determining your expectations, your values, your relationships, your goals, and your priorities.
Yes) Life is a party. - Pursue pleasure first / Life is a race. - Speed is important. / Life is a marathon. - High value on perseverance. life is war It's a game. - Winning is very important.
How we define life determines our destiny.
God created life to last forever. You did not create us by chance. God created us with a clear purpose. Therefore, in order to meet God's purpose for creating me, we must abandon stereotyped thinking and learn how to live life based on the Bible (relying on revelation, not guessing)
God's revelation clearly states two things about life:
1. Life on this earth is a test.
God constantly tests people's character, faith, obedience, love, transparency, and loyalty. (The words test, refinement, temptation, and test appear more than 200 times throughout the Bible.) are receiving. God is always watching us as we react to people, problems, successes, conflicts, injustices, sicknesses, and even the weather (even small actions such as caring, kindness, etc.) He tests the measure of hope through him, and the form of love through his relationships with people.
Adam and Eve did not pass the test of overcoming temptation. But Abraham, the father of faith, passed by obeying the command to offer Isaac as a burnt offering. Joseph, Ruth, David, Esther, Daniel, etc. passed the test and became the fathers of faith.
One of the really important tests is how we react when we don't feel God's presence in our lives. (God tested Hezekiah after he left Hezekiah, wanting to know everything that was in his heart. 2 Chronicles 32:31 ) This has trained him to take on more responsibilities.
By realizing that life is a test, we know that nothing in life is unimportant. Even small events are very important to our personality. Through testing, a person's character is developed and refined. Therefore, every day is an important day, and every moment is an opportunity to develop character, practice love, or grow in dependence on God.
Every temptation we face has an eternal impact on us. So, people find it difficult and difficult in any exam. The good news for these weak people is that God wants us to pass every test, so that the test we face will not be more than the grace God has given us to bear it (1 Corinthians 10:13). No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
God knows every time we pass a test, and He prepares a reward for us in eternal life. (James 1:12 Blessed is the one who endures the test, for he who has endured the trial is what the Lord promised to those who love him. for you will receive the crown of life)
2) Life on this earth has been entrusted to you.
Our time, energy, intellectual abilities, opportunities, relationships, and resources on this earth are gifts that God has temporarily entrusted to us to care for and manage. That's why the Bible calls us stewards. (1 Peter 4:10 Serve one another as good stewards, entrusted with God's various graces, as each has received a gift.)
The concept of stewardship stems from the consciousness that all things belong to God, that is, that God is Lord.
Strictly speaking, while we live on this earth, we own nothing. Everything we are using as mine is a loan from God for a while. Everything we owned was God's property before we were born. So when we die, God will lend it to someone else.
God entrusted Adam and Eve to manage everything in Eden, but did not give them their possession. (Genesis 1:28 2:29) This role has never changed to this day. (1 Corinthians 4:7 Who has set you apart? What do you have that you have not received? Do you brag as if you didn't?)
Usually people don't care if they don't own it. But since Christians are owned by God, I must do my best to care for them.
Jesus' parable of the steward shows this very well (Matthew 25:14-29).
At the end of our earthly life, we will be evaluated for how well we dealt with the things God has entrusted to us, and we will be rewarded accordingly. In other words, even the smallest things we do on earth will affect our eternity.
A person who faithfully manages well will receive God's praise first, secondly, he will entrust more responsibilities, and thirdly, he will be with God in a place of joy.
Most people don't realize that money is both a test and a consignment. Substance is a test and consignment.
Wealth belongs to God, and God has given it to us while we were living in this world. And you watch. Whether you use those riches only for life in the world or prepare for eternal life. People say that there is no direct relationship between wealth and eternal life, but it is not. Wealth and eternal life are closely related.
When a rich young man came to Jesus and asked him about eternal life, Jesus proclaimed that eternal life and material things are directly related by telling them to sell their wealth and give it to the poor and follow me (Matthew 19:16-26). I think the same precepts have to do with heaven, not material things with heaven. However, contrary to what we think, wealth and heaven are closely related. ?쏡o not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and rust breaks through and steals. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroy, and where thieves do not break through and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also??(Matthew 6:19-21).
God looks at our material management in this world and decides whether to entrust the management of our spiritual blessings. Therefore, if I mismanage my material things, it is preventing God from doing greater and more things through my life.
Life is a test. The overcomer receives the crown of life from heaven.
Life is a commission. The one who overcomes is entrusted with more in heaven.
In the name of the Lord, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will become overcomers by walking according to the truth on this earth, and become good and faithful stewards who take on the crown of life that God has prepared and more responsibilities for ministry.
