life goals and values
(2007.03.25. Week) (Et 4:13~16)
If you look at the price of meat in a seaside port, it is very different.
Even though it's the same kind of meat - I see a few thousand won when alive, and a few thousand won at most when it dies.
Live meat is expensive to be sold as sashimi, and when it dies, the sashimi is not good enough, so the price plummets.
Its value depends on where it is used.
So are people.
When some people die, they feel sorry for the death of a loved one, while others feel refreshed that they died well when they die. A few days ago, there was a man who killed his daughter and threw it into the sea - a lot of people are clamoring for her to be executed. There are people who have to live and there are people who are told to die.
All people are the same, but their values are very different.
How valuable are you?
Even the same person has different values depending on what kind of goal they live with.
What goals are you living with?
1. Don't become a person who has lost his goal
A person who lives without knowing the purpose of life becomes a helpless person. There is no fun in life.
You become a useless person. In the end, you become a worthless person.
There was a prophet Elijah who was a great prophet in Israel. He was a great prophet, but when life was so difficult - when he forgot his status as a prophet, what he was supposed to do, and for a moment his purpose in life - he became a helpless person who could do nothing.
(1 Kings 19:4) - "He himself went into the wilderness and went about a day's journey, and sat under a broom tree, wishing that he might die, saying, It is enough, O LORD; take away my life now; ” - Losing the goal of living - Life is cumbersome, and you do not know how precious you are.
I am a useless person. It doesn't even taste sour. I want to die. Let me die - I have become such a helpless person.
Those who do not know the purpose of life, who do not know their worth - life is dull and boring.
Please don't become a person who doesn't know your goal and just lives.
2. Don't be an easygoing person.
This is when Israel lost its country and the Jews were taken away to the Persian Empire and lived as captives.
This is when Haman, the ruler of the Persian Empire, hates the Jews and has a plan to kill all the Jews at once.
It is a time when all the Jews are restless because of this.
Among those Jews, there was only one person who did not know the world and was comfortable.
Among the Jews, Esther was the queen of the Persian king, so she was comfortable alone, so she was living peacefully, unaware that her people were in danger of being annihilated. Such a person could not do anything.
What was the purpose of Esther's life for Mordecai, who was Esther's cousin and caretaker at that time? There are words of encouragement.
(Esther 4:13) - “Mordecai sent him to answer Esther, ‘Do not think that you will save your life alone among all the Jews, because you are in the royal palace.”
(4:14) - "If you remain silent at this time, there will be release and deliverance for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. - Being a queen now is a mission to save the nation with the status of a queen - He advises that if you ignore the mission and remain silent, you will perish.
That's right. God has given you a mission - if you ignore the mission and just try to live comfortably - you are a person who does not know the value of existence. Ultimately, it is a warning that those who ignore their mission will perish.
3. Be a person who knows the value of life.
There is not a single person who lives in the world without a mission.
Everyone has a mission. That mission should be the goal of a person. Those who know their mission and are faithful toward their goals are those who know their worth well.
*Mordecai had a mission to awaken Esther from a restless sleep, and he fulfilled that mission.
* Even though they were a captive people whose names were not known and even their freedom was suppressed, all the Jews worried for their people and did their best to fast for their lives.
*Even though it was late, Esther realized her mission and - after fasting and praying - without sparing her life - went to the king and asked to save her people.
For the sake of a mission, if I die, I will die Living by ignoring things to do is not living. If I live for a mission and die for a mission, I will not regret it.
I was ready to die, found my mission and was faithful - I didn't die, but I got more glory.
Dear saints, no matter who you are, there is no one who has nothing to do.
*You are living in this age because you are needed in this age.
*You became a member of Kyungil Church because you have work to do through Kyungil Church.
Please don't be foolish to think that you're an eagle and a chick.
*You are God's children who have been specially chosen and saved. - The prince and princess of heaven
I pray that you know your values and live a life that lives up to them.
4. I pray that you will become a person who lives for the Lord.
*Before realizing the mission, Moses tried to be content as a shepherd - but he turned away from being a national leader - but after hearing God's rebuke, he realized his mission and became a leader who leads the nation.
* Esther, who did not know the mission - did not know that all the people were dying - but tried to live alone - but realized her mission and became the savior of the nation.
* What are your goals in life? How much is your existence worth?
Are you going to live and die just like that? - Isn't it?
You are noble people. Among the countless living beings of unknown kind, how precious is being a human being?
How much more precious is it that you have been chosen as a child of God from among the multitudes of mankind?
Now, I hope you will not turn away from God's great expectations that rest upon you.
*The Apostle Paul was a man who knew the worth of his existence.
(Galatians 2:20) - “I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I believe in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I live by faith.” - That is why Paul said that even if he died, there was no limit, but he had work to do for the Lord.
<Now, even if I live, I live around me, and now I die around me. Show me the glory of heaven and come to me, singing hallelujah. I go to the Lord, therefore, whether I live or die, I am the Lord's. You are a child of God. We pray that the saints who are faithful to God's expectations for us - who know the purpose of life right away - will be faithful and receive greater blessings.
* I pray that you will become believers who know your worth, know your mission, and know God's goal for you.
