Title: Life in Heaven (Rev 22:1-5)
Contents Revelation 22:1-5 is the purpose of our religious life, the essence of God's covenant, and the last hope for our believers.
We humans were expelled from Paradise because of our sins. He protected them with a burning sword so that they would not eat the tree of life. And he moved from paradise to heaven.
The old Garden of Eden was a place for the devil to enter and exit, and it was an imperfect place where good and evil coexist.
Today's text can be said to be the complete restoration of paradise.
In the last days, God completely restored the Garden of Eden, which was lost in sin, and gave it only to His children.
The Apostle Paul said in Romans 8 that the kingdom of heaven is an inheritance and heirs to the children of God.
The apostle Peter (1 Bel 1:9) is the result of faith, that is, the salvation of souls. I did.
Verse 1 - Rivers of the water of life, clear as crystal: All cities were created centered on water. Water is what enriches life. Without water, you will go dry.
The river of the water of life in heaven means the Holy Spirit, who continues to supply life.
John 4:14 - Whoever drinks the water I will give him will never thirst. The water I will give him will become in him a spring of water springing up to everlasting life. John 7:37-38 - He said, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. As the Bible says, rivers of living water will flow out of his belly.
It means clear-lampron-shining
River of the Water of Life - meaning that it is a river that always flows and at the same time gives life.
You drink living water to live a long life on earth, but in heaven you can drink this river at any time without cost and without waiting in line. It's in the middle of the road.
This river, shining like crystal, is a shining river that cannot be polluted by sin.
The source of the river - the Throne - God and the Lamb Westminster Creed - Comes still from the Father and the Son.
In Ezekiel 47:1 and below, it flows from the threshold of the temple.
This river from the throne represents the infinity of all life to come from God and Christ.
Verse 2 - The tree of life on the left and right of the river - (Genesis 2:9) Some people say that it symbolizes Christ. However, I think that the tree of life is not symbolic, but really exists. (Rev 2:7 The reward given to the overcomer) In heaven, you can drink the water of the river of life anywhere and eat the fruit of the water of life anywhere along the way. Because it flows and is planted next to the river, it is possible to live with eternal true life.
Also, even if you don't drink this fruit, even if you don't drink this fruit, even if you stop eating and stop eating, you are full of abundant life.
12 fruits - 12 numbers. Rather than symbolizing the church, 12 months, that is, this fruit is always open.
The leaves are to revive the nations. Regeneration-terapeuo-meaning healing (Ezekiel 47:12) On the left and right of the river, trees of all sorts of trees for food will grow, and their leaves will not wither and their fruit will not wither, and will bear new fruit every month. Its fruit will be edible, and its leaves will be medicine. He will heal a broken heart, sighs, tears, and all suffering in the world so that there will be no memory.
Verse 3 - There is no more curse.
Adam was at first a blessing, but later a curse. The state of heaven will never have such a repeat again. For the throne of God and of the Lamb is in it.
Adam would not have sinned if he had always looked to God and always remembered his words. Sin - It comes in when you lose your eye.
However, there is no more curse in heaven because we are always looking before God and the throne of the Lord. Also, the devil will no longer be able to see through the cracks. Do not allow the devil to take advantage of you (Ephesians 4:27) Because you are serving God as a servant of God, there are no more gaps. It is always serving while looking at the face of God.
Verse 4 - I will see your face. You cannot see God in the form of a sinner.
The face of God is the glory of God.
(Ex 33:18) Moses said, "I pray you, show me your glory." (Ex 33:20) And he said, "You shall not see my face, for no one will see me and live." It is a glorious state where you can face God directly because you have cast off all your sins. Eating at the king's table is a blessing. Because they are face to face, they are favored by Wa. Being able to face the face of God is a blessing. It is the restoration of a perfect child of God. It is the perfect form of the image of God.
The greatest hope in life is to teach God face to face. It is the essence of the covenant. content of blessings.
His name will be on my forehead.- God's name is on my forehead, and I no longer think of anything but God, but only God.
Verse 5 No more lamps or sunlight are needed. The lights are turned on at night, and the sunlight shines during the day. But since I said that I don't need it, that means that there is no night or day. And that is pointless. This is because the glory of God shines directly on them.
He will reign forever and ever - the saints are like kings
(1 Bel 2:9) But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the goodness of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Do. The supreme status authority - exercise. power to rule Become a king and command the angels of heaven.
