Title: Life in Jesus
Life immersed in Jesus (Romans 6:1-11)
Christian Gazette “Grandma Well Planting Blue Dreams”
Mr. Noh Guk-ja, who gives love to the poor in Africa with clean water,
It takes about 1-3 hours for African children to walk 2-4 km to get water. This leads to high school tardy and absenteeism. Since it is impossible to dig a well 15 meters underground, there are many things that they eat and wash like animals in running water. After that day's prayer, the old man has been working as a hunger saver and a beautiful well grandmother for the water resource development campaign against hunger for over 8 years. It has been digging up and bringing hope to Africa and other countries around the world, alleviating the suffering of young children. The homeless person helped to dig wells in places with severe water shortages by pulling carts and collecting empty bottles of old clothes, newspapers, etc. Couldn't this be the life immersed in Jesus?
This text emphasizes the life of the Baptist of Christ in a world of confusion of identity.
Through this text, we hope that you and I will live a life immersed in Jesus.
1 What then shall we say? Do we abid in sin so that grace may increase?
This is compared to the saying that where sin abounds, grace abounds.
In fact, when you see the image of sin in this world, you can only sigh.
I see them not cutting off the wealth of each body to get a reward, and killing their wives and killing their families.
Some believers take the lead in committing sins by saying that where sin abounds, grace abounds.
The feminist phobia of Christianity is as old as Christianity itself. The fall of Eve in Genesis was the doctrinal basis for the destruction and hatred of women. Its origin is the Apostle Paul. The Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 11:3, “The serpent deceived Eve with its cunning scheme.”
It was the woman who was deceived by the snake first, and the man just fell for the woman's words. Had Eve not been deceived, there would have been no original sin, she would not have been banished from Paradise, and there would have been no death.
Eve is responsible for the suffering, misery, and death of mankind He even said his name is Devil So, the origin of sin always starts with the woman.
This is where the Christian identity is revealed.
Indeed, the problem of believers in this age is that they do not live a proper life of faith and do not obey the Lord's word.
It's a matter of being indistinguishable from the world. The saints are the assembly of the holy ones. Therefore, it must be distinguished. Just as oil and water are not one and the same, the relationship between believers and unbelievers must be oil and water. A clear Christian identity must be revealed. But it doesn't show up. It doesn't matter if that person is a believer or not.
It is a fact that if believers live just like the people of the world, their Christian identity will disappear and they will become people of the world.
If a Christian has no identity, this is what it is. They secretly go to church or in the chapel they seem to be Christians, but they behave the same in the world. If there is work, we break the week, and we are like the people of the world.
So, if we want to have a solid identity, we need to be baptized.
3 “Do you not know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?”
We were baptized and everyone works under God's mission
The meaning of baptism is clearly explained in verse 4.
4Therefore we were buried with him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in newness of life.
Therefore, to be baptized is to die with Christ.
Then we are resurrected with Christ.
5 If we have been united in the likeness of his death, we will also be united in the likeness of his resurrection.
Because we were baptized, we died on the cross with Christ
And he was resurrected with Christ.
But why are we living as spies of Christ without being sure of our identity?
It is simply because we disobey God's Word.
Why are you disobedient? Because the nature of sin still remains.
The apostle Paul confessed, Romans 7:15, “I do not know what I do, for I do not do what I want, but I do what I hate. I am not the doer, but sin that dwells in me.
We must repent of our sins. Therefore, we must pray daily and repent of our sins to God. Otherwise, you will not be able to live according to God's will and will only disobey.
The Apostle Paul continues to confess. 19 I do not do the good I want, but I do the evil I do not want to do. 20 If I do what I do not want to do, it is not I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. Evil is with me. 22 In my inner man I delight in the law of God, 23 but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my heart, and taking me captive by the law of sin which is in my members.
In this way, he confesses that the law of sin safely takes him captive, leading him to sin and disobeying the Word.
So, we can see that the Apostle Paul repented of his sins.
24 O wretched man I am; who will deliver me from this body of death?
We want you to believe that we need to repent of our sins in order to reveal the identity of Christ.
I still enjoy the law of God in my inner man because I have a sinful nature, but another law of sin in my members entangles me and makes me sin and disobey.
But what's more problematic? When can we daily repent of our sins because we do not pray?
The life of faith is like this, beyond the mountain. Since morning prayer does not come out, when do we pray? Great if you can do it at home. But does morning prayer not come out and become prayer?
In order to reveal the identity of Christ, what must we do first? We need to come out from early morning prayer, and I hope you believe that you will have to come out of early morning prayer and become a repentant spirit every day.
We are baptized as Christians. He died on the cross with Christ. And lived with Christ. I hope that you will no longer live as a spy of Christ, but pray and repent from now on, so that the precious work of revealing the identity of Christ and living will come.
