Bible Text: Proverbs 6:6-11 Title: A Life of Failure
Proverbs 6:6-11.
6 Go to the ant, you lazy, and see what he does, and be wise.
7 The ant has no leader, no overseer, no ruler.
8 He prepares food in summer, and gathers bread at harvest.
9 How long will you lie down, you lazy?
when will you wake up
10 "If we want to sleep more, sleep more, put our hands together and lie down a little more"
11 Your poverty will come like a robber, and your poverty like a soldier.
* Do I like to work? Do I like to play?
Let's take a look at what a failed life is like through the text
The Apostle Paul also warns against laziness in 2 Thessalonians 3:6-16.
6 I command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
who are lazy and do not walk according to the tradition we have been given
get away from all brothers
7 For yourselves know how to imitate us.
We do not walk disorderly among you;
8 No one eats free food from anyone, but toils and toils
so as not to be a burden to any of you.
9 It is not that we do not have the right, but we ourselves set an example for you
that they might imitate us
10 Even when we are with you, I command you to
If anyone hates to work, let him not eat.
11 We have heard that among you you walk idle, not working at all.
There are people who just make things happen.
12 To these we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ,
Work quietly and eat your own food.
13 Brethren, do not grow weary in doing good.
14 If anyone does not obey our language spoken in this letter,
Don't date him by name, and put him to shame.
15 But do not think as enemies, but exhort as brothers.
16 The Lord of Peace Himself grants you peace at all times and in every way.
May the Lord be with you all.
* Life does not like to work, but only to play
It means to lean in the direction of evil little by little. (verse 10)
The time of salvation is very near.
We conclude with Romans 13:11-14. Let's read it together.
11 And ye know the hour, that the hour has already come to awake from sleep.
For now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.
12 The night is deep and the day is near; therefore let us put off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.
13 Walk modestly as in the daytime, do not dissipate or get drunk,
Do not be sensual, do not quarrel or envy
14 Put on the Lord Jesus Christ only, and do not seek the works of the flesh for the lusts of the flesh.
