Title: Life of Gratitude

gratitude
Romans 1:18-23
When God created man, he created man in God's image.
God, who created them, created them in the image of God for the purpose of communion and fellowship with humans.
But even though humans were created to have fellowship with God in this way,
Man did not acknowledge God, and became vain in his thoughts, and became foolish, and
I became idolatrous in the image of gold water and garbage
Human nature has an essential heart with morality and conscience, and it is possible to realize a certain degree of a personal Creator.
If we carefully observe all things in nature, we can realize the power and divinity of the Creator contained in all things in nature.
In order not to believe and not to accept it, we deny our natural realization,
He commits a foolish act of being self-centered and content with vain idols.
Rather, they did not understand it and came to oppose God arrogantly.
However, there is no excuse for sin before the judgment seat of God, and you cannot say that you are without sin.
The text that clearly testifies to the human nature, which is bound by sin, is
to arouse a full understanding and interest in salvation
In other words, since all have sinned, punishment is bound to follow.
God's justice was also satisfied by Jesus being punished by the curse and death on behalf of sinners.
It is to make it clear that the purpose of saving mankind has also been achieved.
This leads to the following lessons
1), it makes us look back on whether we are serving God correctly
There must be no one who turns away from God, whom he has revealed and made known, and exalts himself higher than God.
2), we must cast away all sins, small and great
As such, we are only weak beings who need to ask for God's mercy.
3), let us know that it is only God who can give us salvation as sinners
Therefore, we must have faith in his saving work.
When we think of God's grace and love, we believe in God every moment of every day.
I can't help but thank you
But to understand thanks
When we do not receive something because we think of it as conditional gratitude, which is beneficial when we receive something, regret and sometimes complaints and resentment take precedence.
Believers must have creative gratitude that is different from those of the world. Think about the meaning of gratitude. We want to think about how much grace and blessing we have received from God.
Did you give me a healthy body and a strong body I want to be able to thank you
I want to be able to thank you for giving me a happy family and good parents and children
Did you give me a lot of riches and food to eat and to wear? I want to be able to thank you.
But there are bigger and more important thanks
It means that they were chosen and chosen out of many and many people from the sinful world so that they could know God and believe in Jesus Christ to hope for eternal heaven.
The wretched and pitiful person in this world is not without money, without knowledge or without honor.
In our lives, we are the ones who can't share joy with God while calling on the name of the Lord and giving thanks.
God grants the salvation that has already been fulfilled and even the wishes that have not yet been fulfilled.
Unbelief is an unthankful heart
Gratitude comes from joy and grace
If we first receive grace from God, we will overflow with joy from the depths of our hearts.
When joy abounds from the depths of the heart, a natural sense of gratitude will develop.
1, We should give thanks because God created all things (Romans 1:20)
There can never be coincidences in this world
Everything has an ultimate cause that brought it into existence.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, God is the creator
If someone made a cloud, made a stone, made a tree, made the sun and moon, made a flying bird, made an insect that crawls on the ground, or made a man,
God's Word Will Be Unbelievable
But so far, I have not been able to create or create any of them.
God created me and you
Isaiah 43:7 Let everyone who speaks in my name come, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.
The maker is always responsible and responsible for what he made.
God is saying that He made us and He is responsible for us.
43:1 Now the LORD who created you speaks, O Jacob, now speaks the LORD who created you: Israel, the one who formed you now speaks: Do not be afraid, I have redeemed you, I have called you by name; you are mine; I will be with you when I pass through the waters. Even when crossing the river
The water will not sink you, nor will it burn you when I turn into the fire.
The flame will not consume you, for I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel.
I am your savior, you are mine; I will be with you and take care of you.
Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).
Where is this promise and such blessings?
Are you not afraid or afraid because you think that it is a disease that cannot be cured or a test that is difficult to bear
Even if it is a time to stand alone against the wall of loneliness and secretly beating our hearts and weeping because of a story that cannot be told to others, let us never be anxious or despair.
Fear, worry, anxiety, despair, etc.
The God who created this world said, "Leave all your cares on the Lord God, be rejoicing and be rejoicing. He will hold you firmly with his right hand of power.
May we be filled with joy and thanksgiving through God, who formed us, rules us with wisdom, whose mercy is everlasting, and who is the ruler of all things.
2, Why we should give thanks to God (verse 19)
To know God, you must reveal and reveal Himself from God's side.
But God has made it clear
He revealed Himself through Jesus Christ on the cross on the hill of Calvary and showed us the only way to God.
We should be able to thank God for setting up the cross of hope in our desperate history.
1 Timothy 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and it is acceptable to all, saying that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.
Those who have been hungry because they could not eat can feel their gratitude for the rice in one bowl.
Those who have walked dozens of miles until their feet are sore can appreciate the car.
A person who has experienced going back and forth at the crossroads of life and death can properly feel the preciousness of life
Those who have clinging to their sins and crying and crying because their sins are so great and heavy can realize how great God's love is and how great and abundant is the grace of atonement.
How can we not be grateful for the precious love God has given us, even for His only begotten Son?
3, we can thank God for forbearing the wrath that He will bring upon us.
For sinners there is the judgment of God's terrible wrath (verse 18).
If God had repaid us for all we had done so far, no one would have survived.
People live in the grace of God, but they live because they are good and they are smart.
I think that while living in God's blessing, we live with our own abilities and wisdom.
Romans 3:25 This is that God might show his righteousness by imputing the sins of his forbearance.
Not only lying or stealing is a sin, but not praying and not giving thanks is also a sin.
Failure to pray is a sin because it does not acknowledge the power of God.
Not being grateful is a sin because it is a kind of pride of living on your own.
How heartbreaking would it be if my parents didn't say that I was good on my own or that I didn't have a grateful heart to work hard for their children?
In the same way, even though God has been gracious to us, if we do not know how to thank Him for His grace, He is angry.
The God we should trust and give thanks to is a God who can be taken or forsake.
He is the God who brings life and death, who makes people miserable and who makes them fall.
If we are to enjoy peace of mind and peace of life, we must acknowledge and trust God, not our own abilities or wisdom.
If we are to live a life of sincerity and true faith, we must not turn away from God
In order to receive spiritual wealth and blessings in life, we must acknowledge God's will as God's and remember God first.
Blessings to be received then
Proverbs 3:9 Honor the LORD with your offerings and with the firstfruits of your produce, and your storehouses will be full, and your presses will overflow with new wine.
